Blitzen Trapper - Destroyer of the Void
    The Doors - Greatest Hits
    Twisted Sister - Stay Hungry

I love Destroyer of the Void...It feels like it's been around for a real long time, like a classic album vibe...If that makes sense..

Makes perfect sense to me. From the very first listen it was a classic, I can't wait to spin it tomorrow and hear how the vinyl sounds.

Cheers! I didn't pay too much over cost price either, about £10 more than I would have on RSD. Next (when I get some cash!) is the Deftones RSD!

Yep, the DS one is a fake, but I wanted it so bad and I need to save a little :) Looks nice and sounds okay though.

Yeah I think Miles was feeling left out of the LSD rock scene, so he produced two real radical albums. I would never advocate drug use, but these albums from this period certainly sound good when intoxicated with something ;)

Picked up the new Booker T. Jones on vinyl today. Money very well spent. Questlove drums on the whole thing. Other guests are Yim James, Sharon Jones, Matt Berninger, and Lou Reed. It's a funkin' good record!

Yeah, some great albums in this thread - I like looking at what people have come across or sought out.

I have finally realised why I seem to be spending £15 a week at my local charity shop that specialises in vinyl - they put out some new gems every single week - I spoke to them and they said that about a year ago a guy brought in a massive massive record collection in great condition - but they decided to go through it and release it in stages - a bit more every week. The problem for my wallet is that this guy clearly had a very similar taste in music to mine, and he has all the classic 1960s and 1970s albums on their original pressing in great condition.

So this explains why I have had no money this year - I am buying up this guy's record collection piece by piece!! This year I have got a load of original Bob Marley, Dylan, Byrds, Motown, collectible Floyd, and loads and loads of individual great 60s and 70s albums, all of which are so well looked after - and they say they have loads and loads left to come.

Just thought I'd share that - there's not many people in the world who would understand this obsession!
