Oooh and come on - it cannot be the same to collect snowglobes!
"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
"..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”
Funnily enough - I have a little collection of snowglobes (3), and they are sitting on my vinyl case! One local, one from Seattle, and one from..... Greece! A donkey in the snow in Greece - it's kind of funny
If you ever want to concentrate on snowglobes only as well, give me a notice and we can sort out your vinyl collection
Yeah, thanks. I'll keep you posted.

I just bought a used copy of this earlier this week. I think this is my favorite Neil Young album, actually. Also, there's something about it that made me want to own it on vinyl and not just have the MP3s. Certinaly a worthwhile pickup.
There was a record/cd (more records, which was nice) convention today...Made a nice mess of the wallet.
The Black Crowes,Croweology(Had no idea that it had popup packaging)
Alice In Chains, Jar of Flys/Sap(Pretty orange and blue vinyl)
Jethro Tull, Aqualung
R.E.M., Murmur and Lifes Rich Pageant(Love R.E.M.)
Joe Cocker, With a Little Help From My Friends
Rolling Stones, Beggars Banquet
Bowie, Changes One
Earth,Wind & Fire, Another Time(For my lovely wife)
Jesus Christ Superstar, The Soul Version(Another one for my wife)
No major finds but, we had a fun day and brought home some good music..
P.S. I knew I should have bought, After The Gold Rush..
Alright, I might have to get "Jar Of Flies" soon. I think that's the first cassette that I wore out from overuse. It's one of the albums that I'll never forget listening to for the first time ("Facelift" and "Dirt" are two of the others that come to mind).

I am a huge Neil fan and this album is definitely in my top 5. I am not sure if it is number one or not- it is too hard to choose.

Didn't pick it up, but I was actually in Best Buy getting the vs/Vitalogy set (finally broke down - deserve 30 lashing for not doing it sooner), and saw Chinese Democracy on vinyl for $1.99. I am not kidding. Saw it on sticker on album and little sign on the shelf. I don't even have a player, and I almost bought it just for kicks.
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

Yup I can vouch for this one. I was at Best Buy a couple weeks ago and seen that the CD was only $1.99. I bought the CD when it came out so I didn't need another copy of that so I started looking for the record but they didn't have it at the store I was at. So, I looked on their site, it was $1.99 but it had to be bought in store and the closest store to me that had it was 45 minutes away, which is right next door to my sister. So she was nice enough to go pick me up a copy
Today I bought:
The Who - Who's Next
Pink Floyd - The Final Cut
The Doors - L.A. Woman (it was in the 99 cents bin!!!)

So, yesterday I looked through every single new and second hand record in the 4 shops I go to in my home town - and I could not find one single thing to buy!! I looked at hundreds of records. I think I have cleaned the town out of decent vinyl
My OXFAM shop puts out some great vintage records every Friday however - so I may still get to satisfy some cravings before the week's out.

Just got back from Half Price Books and they had two sealed copies of The Who Sell Out for 12 bucks each. Seems like that was a decent price after looking on Amazon and eBay but I couldn't shell out the money after buying the EV stuff yesterday. Hopefully its still there Friday.

didnt pick it up..but in oxfam they had led zep first album SLEEVE only ,no lp £12.. wtf
Yeah they are a bit overpriced sometimes, I think they have a 'book list' thing they use - and take no account of condition, or what pressing it is - so sometimes they sell bog standard items as collectibles. On the other hand, they seem to get some really really good donations from ex record collectors etc, so you can often pick up some nice stuff if the price is right. I've got some great 60s and 70s records from Oxfam this past year!
btw Kev, I haven't forgotten you - I have some records for you. Tomorrow I am planning to have a 'message pit post office trip', and go and send out all the things that I've been storing up and promising to send people recently. Yours is the closest - some are going the other side of the globe

I hate when that happens..I found London Calling by The Clash and Hot Rocks 64-71 by The Rolling Stones a few months ago...Sleeves only of course.
