    A few weeks ago, I was delving into my blues LP collection and listened to a song from a blues compilation I apparently hadn't noticed or listened to before called "Funky Malaguena" by Snooks Eaglin.  
    "Holy crap!" I thought, "That's amazing!"  So I tracked down the LP it was originally from called The Legacy of the Blues Vol 2: Snooks Eaglin, and it arrived today.  I sat down a few hours ago and listed to it all the way through, and when the LP ended I realized I had discovered gold.  What an album! 
    Even though this is from a series of blues albums, Eaglin combines a lot of styles into his playing- blues, R&B, New Orleans street music, jazz, even a little Latin flavor.  What a great find!
