Good, I am glad you have nothing to dispute about this. This is Babe Ruth level baseball knowledge.
And what's their batting average with runners in scoring position? Oh yeah...that will come back to the mean. That's right. Their statitistics that are horrible will be better but their overall team batting average that is high right now won't resort back to the mean. Only the bad will get good in your little Yankee world right. :lol But your done talking about it right?
Players in the long run typically hit and play to their average. Look at Jeter and Pettitte in the post season. Everyone considers them big time playoff players when in reality, they are the same player they are during the season. Damn good players.
Everyone is hitting at least reasonablly close to their averages (unfortunately for Tex, that's what we are getting here on out), so the average with runners in scoring position will even out. It's a 162 game season. Things even out over time.
And in no way shape or form am I predicting the Yankees will win the world series or even get there. I am just saying that this is a very good baseball team.

Feel free to give me an example of an average or player who is hitting better than they should be that will decline back to their mean.
Edit: The home run pace most likely is not going to last, the fact they haven't won games where they don't hit home runs, I think, is an anomaly so I am not concerned. Because they hit the ball hard and hit for a decent average, they will score runs without home runs.
Tough loss last night but we'll bounce back tonight, gotta love this matchup
Nova vs Rays

"Big game"Shields vs Yanks

That's pretty wild. Can't believe they have hit him that well.
0-1 in Pettitte starts. Last night was rough because they had a chance to get off to a good start without Andy. Tex makes that play 99% of the time though.
50-50 chance of that and if they do, I guess the world ends..

So they sign Darnell McDOnald??? :? Fairly confused with this. Pretty much means they have to release Wise or Nix. I have a feeling this is becasue Gardner won't be back this season. :?

Send Phelps down after today, they don't need him with CC coming back. Keep McDonald until after the All Star break and go from there. McDonald can be mildly useful against lefties. But yeah, in the long run it would have to be Wise, if they plan on keep McDonald.
I don't think I have ever seen umpire's interference before.
I just came on to say. I don't get that shit a little bit. The catcher either cocks back too far or the umpire fucks up and the Yankees are penalized. Baseball is a hell of a game. If I were a catcher, I would sit back in running situations. I don't like that rule and not just because it cost the Yankees a run.

I agree. Maybe Martin should just lean back from now on when he doesn't have a shot. I never even knew or thought such a rule existed.

Only the bad will get good and the good will remain the same. That's your theory and I'm sticking with it. I am now officially drinking your Kool Aid.
