My favorite part of the movie is when all the women’s lib chicks get all bent out of shape and start protesting because George Clinton and the Pfunk were playing the party…haha, silly girls..

Oh, and I enjoyed seeing all the PJ shirts floating around philly..

Do you mean from those legendary shows by Ye Olde Pearl Jam Travelling Minstrels, the great, great, great, great grandfathers of grunge.

Ah, yes...the Earls of Jam: Geoffrey of Ament, Maitias of Clan Cameron, Michael mac Riada, Eduard van Vedder, and Gossard the Stonemason & Carpenter. Featuring Sir Kenneth de Gaspar, Duke of Booooooommmmmmm.

Back then, they wanted you to wear the coat of arms of the kingdom, lest ye be an enemy of the Earls of Jam.

really , if you're worried about what other people are wearing,
then your attention is in all the wrong places friend ,
this is the stupidest " rule " ever conceived by modern man .
Where else are you supposed to wear a PJ shirt to ,
a good charlotte show ? ( or insert any other arbitrary rock and roll band here )

Agreed. Stop caring about what other people think. I'll wear my PJ shirt If I want to and show my support.

i always thought this was a good rule. losers wear the band's shirt...

then i went to a ev solo show and noticed everyone trying so hard not to wear a pearl jam or ev shirt. everyone had a who or stones or social d..or whoever. and i noticed double digit eddie haircut/beard trims. freaked me out. but i was high on dayquil and such :?

i could have been wrong. i dont care now. wear what you want.

only thing worn that ever bothered me was the freaky kid from austin that almost ran into me with that shit mud all over him. i was rattled

Because they are rebels and do not dwell in this world of conventions and 'concert-going' fashion etiquette!

You wear flannel shirts? HAHA. I havent seen those worn in a decade atleast. But I swear Im not judging.
In the Pacific Northwest, they never really wear a fashion statement. I still wear flannel shirts in the fall and winter when it is cold outside.
I wasnt judging I swear! Just saying, I havent seen those in a WHILE. Where can you even buy them these days?
What, they don't sell flannel at Hot Topic anymore? HAHA. I swear I'm not judging either.

Who else is going to appreciate my 92 Drop in the Park tshirt than a true fan?
A FOTO PLEASE??

Now that's some good shit . . . I mean shirt!

artdropinthepark.jpg

From Two Feet Thick:

"This shirt commemorates the free concert organized by Pearl Jam on September 20, 1992 at Seattle’s Magnuson Park (misspelled”Magnusson” on this shirt). The reverse of the shirt displays the bill for the day: Pearl Jam, Cypress Hill, Seaweed, Pete Droge, Lazy Susan and Jim Rose. The front of the shirt features then PJ tour manager Eric Johnson, mostly nude save the pants around his ankles, taking, well, a dump in the park. The photo was taken by Jeff Ament along a stretch of forest off of a highway somewhere outside Seattle, and we’re told the two had to scramble to avoid law enforcement officers heard in the distance while the photo was being staged. They didn’t want to have to explain one half-nude man squatting in the woods, and another taking a picture of him.."

I always miss the boat on that "cool" thing!! Which reminds me I need to head to the mall and get some Ed Hardy shirts for the weekend so I can be cool like John Gosselin. Should I hit the childrens section or do they make them small like the Pearl Jam shirts these days too?
