What's up with so many fans wearing PJ shirts to the shows?

There's an old rule that you never wear a band's shirt to their concerts. PJ fans seem to disregard this completely! Any particular reason? If you're at the show, why do you need to be wearing a PJ shirt? Just curious.

I'm not sure why this would be a rule or why anyone would have made this up...

By the same logic then, one shouldn't wear any of their sports team apparel when going to watch their team play...

If you can't wear your favourite band's shirt to their show, when can you wear it?

It's only different because when you go to a Sporting event there are two teams playing, and you actually are rooting for one. At a concert everyone is there for the same reason.

I thought the same thing to wear it or not? I said yes and wore PJ shirts 3 out of 4 nights. FIgured you know what this is my equivalent to team playing in the big game and that I would proufly let my freak flag fly

I should have worn one to KISS at MSG in Oct - so I could shove it in paul Stanley's face each time he said how much better KISS was than every band in the world and took shots at them for not giving their fans as much. The guy obviously doesn't get to many other gigs.

I got rid of that law from the PEARL JAM constitution a while back ,i wore my 05 Chile tour shirt just to make you jealous only on Friday night

I wore the same blue flanel shirt to LA3 '09 that I wore to my first show in '95. I'm amazed it lasted. If it is cold in Perth on Nov 14, it'll be going there as well over my LA PJ t-shirt.
