What's up with so many fans wearing PJ shirts to the shows?
There's an old rule that you never wear a band's shirt to their concerts. PJ fans seem to disregard this completely! Any particular reason? If you're at the show, why do you need to be wearing a PJ shirt? Just curious.

I'm not sure why this would be a rule or why anyone would have made this up...
By the same logic then, one shouldn't wear any of their sports team apparel when going to watch their team play...
I got harassed at Hartford 08  but nothing will stop me from wearing what i want

If you can't wear your favourite band's shirt to their show, when can you wear it?
It's only different because when you go to a Sporting event there are two teams playing, and you actually are rooting for one. At a concert everyone is there for the same reason.
Who made up this rule... and why do people have to follow it?

really , if you're worried about what other people are wearing,
then your attention is in all the wrong places friend ,
this is the stupidest " rule " ever conceived by modern man .
Where else are you supposed to wear a PJ shirt to ,
a good charlotte show ? ( or insert any other arbitrary rock and roll band here )

as to your concerns...who cares? it's a goddamn t-shirt
I should have worn one to KISS at MSG in Oct - so I could shove it in paul Stanley's face each time he said how much better KISS was than every band in the world and took shots at them for not giving their fans as much. The guy obviously doesn't get to many other gigs.
Don't you think they would look down and be flattered?

Well I was planning on wearing my stickman t shirt to the concerts.
So will I be frowned upon?
i hate to say it but i agree with the OP ....... you become "THAT GUY" ...i never wear a shirt of the band im am going to see .. dont get me wrong there is nothing wrong with it .. i just dont wanna be 'THAT GUY"...
and its next to BLASTING A VERY VERY BAD BOOTLEG of an old concert for over an hour in the parking lot BEFORE YOU GO IN... i even had to move my truck cause this TOOL pulled in next to me BLASTING a horrible boot from 94 ..the recording was so bad i packed up my cooler/table/BBQ and chairs. and moved ..
BUT you can wear a BAD RADIO/MOTHER LOVE BONE/ CITZEN DICK tshirt
side note: back in 2000 i went to the SHOWBOX/key arena shows and purchased a really realy cheesey vintage SEATTLE shirt with the skyline on it from the market... i have worn it EVERY SHOW since....23 and counting
edit..... my girlfriend was going to wear one i even told her no....you will be THAT GUY.....
Still... but, the question remains... WHO wrote those rules?
And why are you compelled to follow them?

Wear what you like where you like and respect each other - that's all that matters. Wasn't rock'n'roll about breaking 'rules' about being free and not having to conform to someone else's standards.
Thanks I'll keep wearing my Pearl Jam shirts to work, to the gym, to the beach, to weddings and funerals and hope to be burried in one.
And yep, I'll be wearing one to Perth - Nov 14.
Just don't let me catch any of you in a Mudhoney, Nirvana or Soundgarden t-shirt !!!
only by the OP.
