All that keeps coming to my mind is "BOXED SET"! These shows are going to go down in PJ history, for me,(and as much as I love, the Boxed Gorge boot), this would be WAY better to do up as a special edition.
I seriously cannot believe, that I have the PRIVILEGE, to get to see these shows! By the end, (after I recover), I know that I will look back, and SMILE ear to ear, knowing that my best friend and I, were a part of these incredible shows.
Fingers crossed for SWEET seating on the next two nights (lottery, lottery,lottery...maybe if I say it enough, I can, WILL it, to happen!).

Also, no matter which way you look at the set lists ....it's Pearl Jam....are there REALLY any truly, (seriously TRULY) shitty songs? NAAAA.... I can handle anything once or twice. The fantastic blessing here, is that since they are trying to play every song in their catalog, how many repeats can they afford to play?

Now the only BAD thing about this, is that since there are few to non repeats, exactly WHEN to take a potty break, is hard to calculate, (those DOWNSTAIRS bathrooms, with the slippery floors, friggin' SUCK)

As always,,big thanks to the BAND and to 10C for the hard work on this tour with the tickets, and the ease of it all....with every song, the Horrible Hartford show, ticket line, from last year becomes a distant memory.

Onward to Friday and Saturday,,for we can sleep next week!

Gosh where is my brain? You're absolutely right. It was the end of "YL" and am I right? Ed and Stone had a little bro-mantic moment there. ;)

But "porch" in and of itself was a highlight...that song effin rocks!

    hahahahahahahaha

I agree about the Nitrous. My buddy disappears and comes back with 2 humongous balloons. I was like 'those arent nitrous, are they'? I didnt believe him. He was doing his and mine slipped out of my hand and blew away to his horror. Everyone had these fuckers. I have never seen anything like it (as someone said).

First, I want to THANK, wholeheartedly, Ten Club for winning the lottery; front row in front of MIKE!!!!! :D I'm still reeling from the entire experience, truly one I'm forever grateful for. It's truly a once in a lifetime experience. :):)

Mike loves the crowd and was constantly paying attention to the fans, throwing pics very often and a lot of paying attention to those who didn't have a great view. I thought that was awesome. It's funny to see a few rows of people dive bomb the floor desperately wanting a pic. Knowing I wouldn't get one, I smiled at the people and smiled back at him. I thought it was great, and got to share a smile with him.

Highlights for me was Push Me Pull Me, NO WAY, Given to Fly (always sounds phenomenal), Blood, Grievance and The Real Me...the last one complete with a little Townsend foot action by Mike. I swear, if any song showcases both Mike and Jeff, it's definitely The Real Me. It was just awesome.

A mild complaint - the two guys next to me, towards center. Stood like statues the whole show. I guess I just can't understand how one could be in the front row and feel absolutely no energy to move with the music. You'd have to be fighting it, I swear, with everyone else around being so into it. It's just that intense!!

You are definately right, and you probably saw it A LOT closer than I did. ;)

OK Nitrous.... Philly people love their hippy crack. I like to engage in moderation as well. Its fun and I only do them at Pearl Jam concerts. Now I have to say something about drugs... Pearl Jam 1: dude sitting behind me nearly was falling into the people in front of him nodding out from Heroin or some kind of pill. Kinda gross. I guess Im a balloon huffing hypocrite though. :D

This was an absolutely incredible experience, and I have to say it was my favorite Pearl Jam show of the 10 I've seen!

The fans were amazing. The seats (sect. 201, row 3) were amazing. The setlist (NAIS, Evacuation, Push Me Pull Me, Garden, DOWN WITH MIKE NESS, Speed of Sound) was amazing.

I've been raving about this show ALL DAY, and I don't know if I'll be able to sleep tonight before tomorrow's big show. :)

I'll post more of a review on Saturday when things are a little more laid back!

This was a roller coaster of a show. I certainly enjoyed seeing Social Distortion for the first time, especially when Ed and Mike came out for Ball and Chain. Pearl Jam's set started out good, but then there were a couple pretty bad versions of WWS and I Am Mine. Then there was Johnny Guitar and NAIS, two songs that my wife and I aren't really into respectively. A great version of Gone then our least favorite PJ original Evacuation. Even Flow was pretty short but good then Ed totally fucks up Come Back and it is scrapped.

Things finally get going with a good version of No Way, a song I hadn't heard live in 11 years. Down with Mike Ness was great and the rest of the first set finishes nicely. I was happy that Just Breathe was repeated since I missed Tuesday. A good first try at Speed of Sound even if Ed did repeat a verse, and hearing Push Me Pull Me live was something awesome I never imagined I'd get to hear. Enjoyed hearing the original Garden (though I do enjoy the reworked version), and Blood was a nice way to finish the set.

Could have done without Last Kiss and Better Man, but at least they are out of the way and don't need to be played Friday or Saturday. In the end, the show had a good finish with Porch and Yellow Ledbeter.

The World Series situation gave the show an interesting atmosphere, but was quite annoying at times. People were congregating in the hall watching the game making it dificult to get to the restrooms or concessions. I was the guy yelling, "Hey! I hear there's a concert going on down at the Spectrum, you guys should check it out!!" as I pushed my way through the assholes blocking the hall from wall to wall.
  • A great show, wishlist, given to fly and better man were just some of the highlights.
    Social D perfect opening act..

Great show. Good 10club tix. NAIS, Iam mine, real me, push me pull me & no way were nice highlights for me. Even though I'v heard betterman a million times it was really awesome last night for some reason. Really cool moment. Loved the boxing round girl. Great idea...

Just a heads up to the interpretive/ drunk dancing guy in front of me in section 202 row 3... Maybe you shlouldn't flail your arms as much next show like your having a seizure on every song? You kept hitting me and knocked your seat into me several times. If it wasn't for your hot girlfriend talking to us for a second, the whole row behind you was going to roll on you. Not kidding. I enjoy the shows and songs as much as anybody but you were a little too over the top.

Well thank god she was hot

I can sense you're being facetious. What did you expect me to do when the hallways are filled with people unwilling to be courteous and leave a path for others to walk by? Would you prefer I piss out in the hallway? (Of course I wouldn't do that, as I preferred not to be kicked out of the venue.) I tried to be polite and say excuse me, but that plea fell on many ears deaf to anything but baseball. My wife got many sneers from women when she tried to get through the mob. I was relieved when they switched the monitors in the hall from the game to something else as it meant I'd actually be able to get back to my seat.

House lights went down around 9:00 for the Spectrum video montage. I would play it safe and be in by 8:40 for the next two shows though.

  • First let me start off by saying WOW great show. Night 2 seamed a little shorter than night 1 but i did think the set list was a little better. BUT I do have a little complaint. ( Dont get me wrong I am not bitching and I am very gratefull for my 10c seats). I have been in the Ten club for a while and this is the first time i have ever been lucky enough to get tickets. With a # of 184xxx i assumed i would prob land some pretty good tix. So around lunch time the day of the show i checked comcasttix to see if there were any tix for sale just out of curiosity and there were some great seats row 3 next to the stage. I passed on them hoping my 10c seats would be close . Unfortunatly my 10c seats were towards the back of the lower level row 12, in the middle of the row. The seats were still good but I have some friends with 10c numbers in the 300xxx and 400xxx that were closer than me. Does anyone know if the seats are just random and the lower your number doesnt matter , or was it just bad luck on my behalf. Either way it was an unbelievable show and I cant wait for the 31st .
  • What an amazing night Wednesday was! The energy at the Spectrum was unreal - felt so good to be back there again. I wish they weren't tearing it down! Hopefully soon they will return to the Wachovia. I loved hearing Garden, Blood and Nothing as It Seems. Mike is incredible :)

The pre-party at McFadden's was awesome too - met lots of nice people. I met a nice guy named Steven that gave me a raffle item. It was nice meeting you.
  • I have been wasting my days at work reading this message board as I prepare for friday and saturday...i am so pumped, but torn...as a DIE HARD phils fan sat is a dilemma, though i will be in my 10c seats enjoying the last show at the building i grew up in, listening to my favorite band--i will still be wearing my red and chanting yankees suck...the lot is going to be insane sat, if you don't have tix, come for the party at the very least--but get there early!
