I went to this show with my brother and he won the 10c lotto!! We were front row Mikes side!!! It was awesome, Mike handed me his autographed setlist and when Ed came over I got to shake his hand!!
So amazing!!!

I keep telling people, that I'm no longer going to waste money seeing them on the West Coast because the East Coast shows are so much better. Seriously.
I was 4th row, center and everyone I met was totally rocking out. So unlike the other cities.
Social D rocked the fucking house too... caught their drumsticks and got their set list. Seeing Eddie and Mike come out for Ball and Chain made my night.
These shows are even more special because they are the only east coast shows this year so you got people coming from as far away as Florida from the south and Canada from the North to go to the shows. A friend of mine from South Carolina is driving up for the Friday and Saturday shows.0 -

Tell me about it. I came in from Seattle for the show.0 -
Amazing show. I had great seats (non-10C, sorry) and have never been that close to the band. Social D was great, and seeing Mike and Ed join in on Ball & Chain was cool. PJ was just wicked-good. There were a few really bad sound issues and a couple of flubs (they never did get around to playing Come Back...). Push Me Pull Me started badly, but they finished it strong. I thought the roof was going to come off the place during Garden and Evenflow. It was GREAT to see the Backspacer tunes so well received (I remember that not being the case with some of the Avocado songs on the last tour). Lots of Phillies crowd-pandering, but that was cool and it kept everyone into it. I forgot how much I love the Spectrum - it felt so cozy and sounded so good compared to the 'Whatever-Center' in Camden and even Wachovia Center. It brought back many memories being back in that building and I was sad to think that Saturday will be the last day I'll ever be in it. Ah, well, can't stop progress I suppose...
Definitely a great show. I'll have to hear the boot to be sure, but it ranks just below Philly 05 as my personal favorite. Can't wait until Saturday. I just hope they still have something left in the tank for it!
It looked like Ed hurt his ankle or something in the 2nd encore - I saw him trip on a cord and then limp around a little. Anyone else notice this? He'll probably feel that one tomorrow morning after the wine wears off.I smile, but who am I kidding...0 -
Here is a picture of the setlist that Mike handed to me:

A Dr J slam dunk tonight for me!! Started off solid with Social D playing mi favorito "Mommy's Little Monster" - and Ed and Mike joining on Ball and Chain- these guys have a killer sound. Good seats on the floor, but couldn't see much- nice that we had a crowd who were into the show AND had Phillies updates real time! These last 2 nights, I really have been amazed, but Push Me, Pull Me blew me away...Esp hearing Ed say something like "This is one of the most fucked up songs we ever wrote"! Loved the "Try and keep up with this one fuckers" befor Lukin. The 2 guys who had the "Mike is God" tshirts getting side stage must have been stoked- what a cool thing. Down was great with MN and hearing that he aided on original vocals for this...more later.zzgot a car...got some gas...oh let's get out of here-get out of here fast...
I hope you get this message but your not home...I will be there in just a minute or so...
I want to go but I want to go with you.

I've had enough, said enough, felt enough. I'm fine, still in it.0 -
Awesome show. The boys are in high spirits and so spot on fantastic playing songs from all albums with surprise tags-- there was one special moment during the sing-along Elderly Woman... where we sang so loud and proud that Ed stopped playing, opened his arms and said " That's so fucking beautiful" ; then picked right up with the band again. Maybe one of those "you had to be there" experiences, a' la Mansfield 06/28/08.
Songs Pearl Jam have not performed for a long time may seem rusty to the nit-pickers among us; however, my take on these live versions is that they are miraculous no matter what.
A couple of notes:
Eddie was having a blast. He sang "Lukin" and "Yellow Ledbetter" with amazing enunciation; the clarity of his voice and the volume of fans singing along bouncing through the acoustics in that special place....WOW
Earlier Ed had told of the sound check when sunlight streamed through windows of the Spectrum and it made him think of god, if there is one
Mike played his ass off and was spotlighted for long solos, did incedible Hendrix tag to end the show.
During 'Wishlist", when lyrics were fumbled, Eddie quickly covered with some made-up on the spot stuff, anyone catch what he sang?
Now my new favorite line: "Ok I'm going to swear, but affectionately, let's see if you fuckers can keep up with this" (please correct if I'm off the mark a bit)
Tomorrow our day off, don't want this incredible journey to end, but this weekend is gonna sizzle0 -
My favorite of all the shows I've been to.
Why?
They played Evacuation!
(And they aborted Come Back.)0 -
had great 10 club seats - section 213, row 3
in my opinion tonight was better than last night (which I thought would be tough to beat). It seemed like a big party, everyone singing along, a lot of energy.
I thought the baseball game would be a distraction, but it actually added to the atmoshpere, so glad the phillies were winning - it added an extra lift to the place.
hope they finish Come Back
I am still wide awake!!!!0 -
What a special night. Two more to go. Can it get any better? I say it can!
One of the Highlights of the night: Lukin. Ed to the string Quartet: 'Try and follow me on this one fuckers!'0 -
On wishlist -- I didn't catch the whole improv, but it ended with "beat the yan-keees"
Garden was incredible. Absolutely the highlight for me.Post edited by West15th on0 -
Great concert tonight, started off with such great energy with animal, crowd was awesome! Good seats thanks 10club. Band was on fire all night!!! Highlights were Garden, Grievance, nothing as it seems, Even Flow (the best live version Ive seen), the Betterman tag was sick and Porch was amazing! Love the Spectrum can't wait for the next 2 shows!!! LOVE THIS FUCKING BAND!!!!0

Amazing show. My biggest request was half full and my friends was Evacuation, blown away that we both had our songs played. Half full sounds so fucking good live, it should be a staple likeevenflow or GTF. Never thought id hear push me pull me or garden. Porch, the real me, and nothingas it seems were highlights. Just breath is the new "take a piss" song, at least for those who have seen the previous philly shows.Get over here!0

NAIS!!! I wish I would hear that song live :?You can spend your time alone, re-digesting past regrets,
Or you can come to terms and realize
You're the only one who can't forgive yourself0 -
Quick thoughts, just got home at 2:10 a.m.:
"Push Me, Pull Me"!!!! I think I was the most excited person in the building for that one.
This was a Mike McCready night, and he seemed to be having an awesome time.
Speaking of Mike: "Mike is God" shirts seem to go over much better with the band than "No Even Flow" shirts.
I never, ever, would have guessed that they would open with "Animal."
I have not looked at the set list thread, so maybe everyone already knows that they sound-checked "Habit."
I need to get some sleep. My hands are cracked and raw from clapping, too. :!:All those who seek to destroy the liberties of a democratic nation ought to know that war is the surest and shortest means to accomplish it.0 -
I won the lottery, 2nd row, Stone side. Thank you so much ten club. It meant more than I can express. Never thought in a million years I'd ever see a Pearl Jam concert, one that good, in the 2nd row. Unreal.
Here's a video of Speed of Sound.

I figured now that I'm back in NY, I can post a proper review.
To start off: WOW. I never leave a PJ show feeling unsatisfied, and this time was no exception. The show was great. From the rarities (Push Me Pull Me, No F'ing Way), to my personal faves (Blood!!!!!!!!!, GTF, Speed of Sound, The Real Me) the show was a great one.
Just to give a bit of context, my ride didn't leave NYC until 640. We got to the Spec at 847, at which point I sprinted to the will-call to grab my tickets before the booth closed. Opened the envelope: Section 213. I was pretty stoked, considering I have a 421XXX TC number. We run through the gate, and straight into our section, at which point the crowd starts to go wild. By the time we fought through everyone to reach our seats, Ed and Co. had taken the stage, and Animal had begun. It was insanity, but we made it there.
The whole show was great. I freaking love Blood; it's so damn heavy and raw. And hearing Push Me-Pull Me and No Way were huge for me.
For those of you following the setlist updates on Twitter (http://twitter.com/yaschwartz), sorry about that, but service was crappy inside the arena.
Also, if anyone's interested; I should have a full review with pictures up on the blog before the weekend, so check that out if you're interested: http://troubledsoulsunite.blogspot.com/
Other than that, I've just gotta push myself through a bit of studying for tomorrow's AM midterm (Digital Signal Processing will be the death of me), and the crash before prepping for the weekend, and the Sat nite show.
Peace, y'all.
So glad I made it out tonight, and can't wait until Sat night.
P.S. Also, huge props to the guy next to me in Section 213 Row 15, green shirt and shorts. It was a pleasure being next to you, with you rocking out the entire show. You even knew all the words to Lukin, which was uber impressive. Hope to meet you at a show again.Pearl Jam: 9/4/00 7/1/03 5/30/06 6/22/08 6/24/08 6/25/08 8/23/09 8/24/09 10/28/09 10/31/09 5/20/10 10/15/13 8/7/16 9/2/18 9/4/18 9/5/23 9/7/23 8/29/24 8/31/24
