I will bring this up plently of times in the next couple of days so here it goes.....

What your shortstop thinks of Phillies fans....

"It can be, yeah," Rollins said. "There are times, like, it's one of those cities ... I might catch some flack for saying this, but, you know, they're front-runners. When you're doing good, they're on your side. When you're doing bad, they're completely against you."

What our shortstop thinks of us....

"We're relying on you to take the memories from this stadium and add them to the new memories that come to the new Yankee Stadium, and continue to pass them on from generation to generation. On behalf of this entire organization, we want to take this moment to salute you, the greatest fans in the world."

The difference is that Phils fans have never booed rollins...whereas Yankee fans booed Jeter when he got off to a slow start a few years ago.

Gonna be a good series and the matchup should create a great atmosphere before, during, and after the PJ shows this week.

The phillie fans booed mike schmidt. That is just as bad as when some assclowns booed jeter.

I do agree though it should be a great series

I would be perfectly fine with the Yankees winning in 4.

all good points, I just like the potential of it being a really good series with some more games as compelling as Games 2,3 and 5 of the ALCS.

Now this has the potential to be a great series! I can't see it going less than 6 games. I think it's a true pick 'em' in every sense of the word. Should be quite the atmosphere in Philly for us this week.

It's going to be a 7 game series. Two powerhouse teams going at each other's throats, should be very entertaining. One thing's for sure: this isn't the same Yankee team that we've seen since 2004. These guys are on a mission.

Best part of this series is the fact that neither team EVER quits and is not dead until that final out. I fully expect one of these games to be an epic late inning comeback for someone with potential extra innings etc. Looking forward to a great series.

Oh yeah there would be so many less douchebags if it were Sawx fans coming to Philly

This is going to be amazing - the cities are so close to each other. Fans may be Yankees fans, but watch the Flyers; or Knicks fans, but watch the Phillies. I'm a Yankees fan, but my favorite PJ concert was in Philly. This WS is going to be loud! Whoa, Philly PJ concerts may turn territorial, eh?

I just looked at the mlb site. It's called the Liberty series for the statue in NY and the bell in Phil. Great name!

It's the post dude, can't take it seriously. Edit: Definitely a terrible article.

Just stopped by the front page of philly.com and the main headline story is the following....

Live Chat: Red, hot and sexy
Daily News reporter Stephanie Farr chats until 1 p.m. today about her contention that this Phillies team is the hottest - i.e. the best-looking - of all time. Post your questions NOW!

Looks like neither paper is representing their city well.

    thats only for the website.

but thats more a sad commentary on journalism in general as opposed to complete and utter ignorance and low class with a headline of "Their fans are second rate & so is their city."

it's a shame and it promotes some of the nonsensical comments i've seen from people on here...

Nah, dude, the Daily News facked up here. That Red, Hot and Sexy thing is on the back cover of the paper. But, then again, I guess that's what happens when you have 7 days in between series.

Agreed, its terrible but no one ever claimed the Post was classy.

I am a New Yorker living in Philly for 3 years now and while I prefer NYC and spend many weekends up there, I think Philadelphia is a great city. I also think that the Yankees fans that contribute regularly on this board are a great group of fans.
