I'm happy to call the Billygans people and see if the room is available. I don't want to step on anyone's toes or make any kind of assumption on behalf of the group. So, let me know.
When I'm checking, what time would we need the room?
This is the place that's near the venue? I would say from 2pm until doors/ticket pick up!

It's not the place that's across the street (Jollies), but this place is a bit nicer and I believe it would be easier for underaged people to attend and has a designated meeing room for groups. Here's my original post on the place I'm talking about.
Here is an idea of a place that is in Vancouver WA, it's about 5 minutes away from the Amphitheater. Close to the park and ride bus to the Amphitheater, and close to I-5 and I-205.
It is a restaurant with a full bar...both beer and hard alcohol. They allow people under 21. They have a banquet room that holds up to 100 people at no charge (according to the website).
If we're talking Vancouver, this is a really good choice. I've eaten there and it's not a dump.
Also, there is a bank with a cash machine and a liquor store in the same parking lot.
I'll check on availability and see what they say. I feel like we can't fiddle-fart around on this too much longer. I can't believe it's only 10 days away. I'm getting so excited I can't stand myself.
edit: I'm going to call Jollies just for shits and grins, to see what they have to offer and I'll report back. That way everyone has someplace to choose from.
I called the place that is right near the amphitheater, Jollies. They don't have a room that would accommodate a specific large group such as ours. They have a room that would accommodate about 30 people, but said I would need to call back on Thursday to ask if that was available. She said that we could meet in the bar, but that would be alongside other patrons and she said that on concert days, it gets pretty packed in there.
I called Billygans, and under an abundance of caution, I've asked them to hold their meeting room for us until I can get input from everyone in the next few days. We aren't tied to that at all, but I felt I should hold it just in case it comes to that. There is no charge for the room, it holds up to 100 people and I can cancel it at any time.
Would people be eating or just drinking? She's asking because they have a different food menu for the meeting room and she wants to provide those to us before we get there. This bugs me because..."different menu"? WTF? That sounds like a hassle if we have to order from it in advance. Bleh. Anyway, she said that alcohol is available in the room and minors are allowed as well. We would each pay our own bill, however they will automatically add 15% gratuity to each individual persons bill due to the large size of the group.
Do you or anyone know anything about Hazel Dell Brewpub? I spoke to Julia from there and she said that their max occ. is 160 and they would be happy to have us if we were interested. They can't necessarily "rent the place out to us" but at 2 p.m. they wouldn't be very busy either.
She said you don't have to take I-5 to get to the Amphitheater but if you did it would probably take 20-30 minutes due to traffic. Good review on Yelp for suds and general pub fare. Just throwing it out there if anyone knows of this place.

Want to bump this thread up. Seeing as everyone says its hard to get in out of the venue I'm wondering if anyone is into meeting up and carpooloing to take advantage of the YES parking program. 4 or more passengers means priority parking. Anyone else going up from the Eugene area?
I am coming from Salem and need and ride to and fro, will stay over if you are, can pay for gas and stuff Sandy
I'm calling one more person back to see what options we have. Because I live near the amphitheater and know the area, I'm looking in Vancouver WA only. If anyone has Portland options, please go for it. I know Vantucky isn't anyone's ideal place.
My husband and I were thinking that it would be a good idea to carpool. I know we're driving and will have room for 2-3 people. I'm talking from the prefunction place or wherever works, to the venue and back again. We did pay for the VIP parking. I suggest either vip or "yes" parking, if you don't do either of those, be forewarned that the parking lot is a bitch at the end of a show.
I went ahead and bought the VIP parking from TM after hearing about what a bitch that place was. $29.75 sucks but not if you are splitting it over a carload of folks.
Seeing that you guys are enthusiastically paying almost $30 has me concerned. If anyone wants to carpool, I'd consider meeting up with you too. My GF and I are staying at the Staybridge Suites in Vancouver afterwards so is there anyone also staying there who would be up for that? We plan on heading to the hotel at 3 to check in, and then go to the show.
I won't change direction, and I won't change my mind - E.V.

Somewhere on that stretch of I5 between Seattle & Portland there is a restaurant advertised called "Jammers". Never been there, but that sign makes me smile. Too bad it isn't close to this venue.

My husband is a homebrewer and we go here because they make their own beers on site. The only thing is that they do not serve hard alcohol. Only beers. It is a really good option though and their beers are good. The also serve wine and cider. We'd totally love to go here. I say if it works, go for it.

Thanks so much for the info anotherclone! We live in Hawaii and had some concerns about the hotel after reading one of the posts on this thread. We feel much more comfortable now. Are you doing the Seattle shows too? If not... we will hopefully see you at the Portland Pre-party. We would like to buy you a beverage
Oh, it's my pleasure. Hubby and I are doing night 1 in Seattle as well as Portland. Look forward to meeting you.

When I bought my ticket (didnt get a fan club one) they said all the premium parking was sold out, I dont know if thats true or not or if there's another way
Sounds like there's not a definite on anything pre-party? We're staying at the Marriott downtown Portland and driving to the venue. Looks like the C-tran is a good option...but they say to get there early for the parking?? I'm also open to the Premier parking.
A question for the locals: If we do the C-tran thing and get there early (to ensure a spot in their lot)...how easy/hard would it be to get to a restaurant/bar/something in the area? Would it be best to go get food/drinks before parking in the c-tran lot? I don't know. I'm just confused by this. If only the show had just been in downtown Portland.

OK is it the Hazel Dell Brew Pub for sure? A full Wishlist party? I'm trying to set up a carpool from Salem and we are either 2 or 4 at this point, so it needs to be firmed up soon, we are all in different towns south of Portland. Where is the Hazel Dell brew Pub, although I understand it is in Hazel Dell, but I dont know the area. How long to get to the venue and what would be the hours and who is the current point person. Do we just bring donatable gifts for the raffle and sale and is there a cover charge? This is my first pre party so I am an infant,
thanks Sandy
Well i know right where that is at. Is actually on the way and I believe I am doing the park and ride deal as well, looks like the best option. So i might just see what a PJ pre-party is all about...
Paramount Theater 94 (my first show)
Red Rocks 95 (the best venue)
Fiddlers Green 98 (good 10c seats)
Albuquerque 00 (good road trip, best 10c seats)
Pepsi Center 03 (best show)

I think with SEattle being yesterday and today things are a bit hectic. It's my understanding that we're doing the Brewpub from what stoned and damented has posted. Its a good choice.
Honestly, I'm not too involved other than the fact that I live here. I recently changed jobs and can't help more with planning etc. The yelp link above has the address and you could easily mapquest it. It's not difficult to find.
Let me get my shit together and see if I can help more, but for now...I think this is the place as far as I can tell.

I think its confusing because nothing is set in stone. I live here (in Vancouver WA) and have done concerts at the amphitheater before. I think with it being a weekend, you could do the park and ride pretty easily. They don't start the bus runs until about 1 1/2 hours before the show. If our show starts at 7:00 (opening act), the bus would start running at 5:30.
I was envisioning a pre party and then going to get our tickets and then go to the show.
I called the amphitheater box office and they confirm the 3:00 pick up time for tickets as the earliest time we can pick up and we can't stay on the premises until they technically open the parking lot at 5:00. That's just retarded. I know that's not very PC, but it is stupid.
Please PM me, I'm happy to puzzle this through with you. I"m confused myself.
Alright...here is the final deal. We are going to keep this very simple at this point and declare this a
"get-together" for now. I have let them know we will be in the house which is a rather big house...
WHERE: Jollies 17701 NE Union Rd
Ridgefield, WA 98642
(360) 573-3141
WHEN: 2 p.m. until show time
**Parking is available at Jollies. They have a very large gravel lot which fits "an assload of cars" provided people park them orderly. You can walk to the venue per Leslie from Jollies...it's about 1/2 mile walk.
-10c ticket distribution starts at 3 p.m.-box office is on the North side of the amphitheater, directly between the main gates
-Clark County Amphitheater doors open at 6 p.m.
-Opening band starts at 7 p.m.
