I sent a PM to foxy about the Oregon Food Bank being interested in helping with the Canned food drive. If this of interest to anybody email me brandonhubbard_3@msn.com for more info!

Got this added it, Brandon - nice job! :)

Finally got to updating the small but respectable RSVP section!

As far as location... I would definitely say that a bar closest to the venue would be best, right? That way we can park at the bar and arrange for a shuttle to/from the venue. That way we have parking covered and no one has to worry about drinking & driving.

We've made it a policy to never pay for any room/bar, so any kind of rental place would be off the list (unless they want to donate).

anotherclone was super helpful and came up with this place: http://www.billygansroadhouse.com/ but I am so confused as to the location of everything.

Anyone have the actual address of the venue? I can't find it for anything!

Not quite the scenery of the Gorge, but it is an amphitheater, kinda looks like Alpine Valley does to me, picture wise at least.

It's in the middle of Vantucky Washington. Not much around there but farms, casinos, strip malls and freeway. :)

Just natural for me to respond when somebody says Alpine Valley. hehe

Woa. Totally wasn't paying attention to this at all - LOL!! Thought it was downtown Portland kinda dealie. Interesting.

So if we had it nearby and got a shuttle it would drop us at the little dot in the middle..

That's why this pre-party could potentially be an epic disaster. I know 0 people that want to hang out in Vancouver before the show.

Don't know if a tailgaiting party would be allowed here or not. That is probably your best bet. Either that or having the Wishlist Afterparty or something.

No I enjoyed the shows and had a huge smile on my face when he talked about Alpine.

It will be seven years next summer and well I can wait and hope for it next year. :)

Anyway back to Portland party talk. :)

So what do you recommend? I have no clue how to approach this one. Tailgate?

  • I can't imagine the shuttle thing working out because of the traffic. Making trips from some bar in Vancouver to the venue in venue traffic would make for a very long wait between shuttles and most likely a frusterated shuttle driver. Things would of been a 1000 times easlier if they played the Rose Garden. Also it sounds like Clark County Amp. allows no tailgating, so thats not much of an option.

    Hey guys,

I'm thinking about flying into Seattle because the airfare is much better and driving the rental car down to Portland. How long of a drive is it from Seattle to Portland realistically? Trying to book tickets tonight most likely. Thanks!

About 2 hours from Seattle to the Venue. 2 1/2 hours to downtown Portland.

What about an early afternoon party somewhere in Portland?
