Yeah, that's not gonna happen anymore
can't wait to see what the rest of the album has to offer.

The rest of the album offers "The End" which is just another subpar coffeehouse song.

So far, only Got Some tickles my nausea...
Ouch.. Speed of Sound and Unknown Thought are amazing! I love The End now but thought like you did for the first few listens..

Those are just regular coffeehouse songs. I don't need coffeehouse songs from my favorite band. I need them to kick my musical ass each and every time.

  • Relax.. three of their best slower songs EVER will be on this album. Speed Of Sound/ Unknown Thought and The End.

    That is a bold statement.

I highly doubt those 3 songs will be better then Immortality, Indifference and All or None.

Definitely better than All or None.. close call with the others. I'll have to hear full band version and judge. Strong melody and lyrics though.

All or None is the shit! and to say it's a close call with Immortality & Indifference is crazy! especially when it's only Ed solo boots you heard them on.

I heard all three songs in person and I can tell you The End and Unthought Known are amazing! I am not going to compare them to Immortality and Indifference. These two new songs will stand alone on thier own right. I only heard Speed of Sound once, but I definately feel it has this kind of potential also...in my opinion anyway, for what it's worth ;)

Unknown Thought is very climatic. I love the build. It's like comparing apples with oranges to those songs. Speed of Sound is very good, almost "Black" good in my opinion.

"But this night has been long
waiting on a sun that never comes..

    a whisper in the dark
is that you or just my thoughts
    wide awake and reaching out.

    Its all so quiet now
could it be I'm farther out
moving faster than the speed of sound."

I thought the End was mediocre, I will give it another chance on the album obviously, it is hard to judge on considering the recordings. Im sure it will be much better full band.

Unthought Known I dont really remember, havent heard it since the east coast ed tour in summer 08.

Speed of Sound has huge potential and is beautiful but again, not even comparable to the 3 aforementioned songs.

Please cancel your ten club memberships! That way the rest of us can enjoy your sweet seats at the Pearl Jam shows. :D Don't get why people hate this song so much. I love it! Guess everyone is afraid of a little change.

I mean Bigwave was the same almost...but at least Ed surfs  ...whatever....i like Got some....can't wait to see what the rest of the album has to offer.

all i know is mad people seem to be really into it and yet Binaural gets no love..not like it should...so maybe I'm just a different breed.

Or maybe the Fixer will finally give the band a chance to compete with Green Day and get the recognition and respect they deserve via a single with broad appeal for once that will also sound great in concert.
