Official Neil Young Thread
With Americana coming out in a few weeks and sounding rather promising based on the first two songs we've heard, I thought it was a good time to start a Neil Young thread. I haven't seen one on here. What's everyone's favorite stuff by Uncle Neil?

Big in Australia I believe but not really anywhere else in the world. Ian Kenny has one of the best voices I've ever heard: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cf29hhItwXs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fAbPfxGUi44 Their first album Themata I can listen to on repeat. It's incredible incredible stuff. These 2 songs are off their…

Collective Soul
Any Collective Soul fans here? I know I'm probably in the minority here, but I'm a huge fan. They're definitely not as good as they were in the '90s, but I'll never forget listening to their self titled album for the first time. "The World I Know," has got to be one of the most memorable rock songs of the '90s in my…

metric fans?
Sorry if this is not in the right page or what ever, ( i have no idea how social networking on any level works). But I was curious about if there are many fans of metric out there. I am listening to new album and thinking that I have a fair wide range of musical interest, and I am sure most pj fans have an open mind to…

Canadian Bands/Artists
I figured it was time to start a thread that was all encompassing of music from the GWN. I'm not going to create a thread for every artist I like from my country (I've done several already lol). This might help some of my global friends to discover music they may not have previously been exposed to. Post your favourite…

Matt Chamberlain with Puscifer
Was checking out the interview with Puscifer on Consequence about their new album and Maynard mentioned they recorded some "jazzy" versions of their new songs with Matt Chamberlain. Didn't make the album, but he sounded excited to release them in the next few years.

Ghost (Swedish band)
I'm sure some people have heard of them. One of my friends mentioned them to me the other day and thought i might like them. Supposedly Dave Grohl is a fan and produced their first album and reportedly has played with them. They have a new album out called Meliora. Would be interesting to see them live. They are playing…

My Morning Jacket
one of my favorite bands. jim james, may be single handedly responsible for the whole "reverb" style vocals that are so popular in indie right now, Band of Horses and cave singers all owe jim a huge debt. They created a genre of music where it sounds like the vocalist is 20 feet away from the mic. My morning Jacket can no…

The Oasis Thread
Im gonna defend them a bit by saying even though I love The Beatles, I like Oasis more. I like almost every single song by Oasis. As for The Beatles, I like so many of their songs but they also made some that I dont like at all (almost everything from the White Album). I can listen to most of the Oasis albums straight…
