i am sick of this horseshit politicizing of one murder victim.
guy kills his whole family, trump says nothing.
guy kills a jogger and they want to blame all of mexico for it.
Exactly.
That poor family.
Yeah I’m certsinly against trump and those using it as some sort of mantra.
But the facts are a person that shouldn’t be in the country did kill someone. We need full immigration reform. Not just because this...there are 11 million people here illegally.
So big whoop. Shouldn't be here according to what natural law? None.

Natural law? Wtf?
Cause laws are important. And if not working you change the law. You for any laws? Only “natural laws”?
By the way this reminded my of the “truth is not the truth” and “a crime is not a crime”
what about the US citizen in CO who killed his pregnant wife and two daughters?

This is a pretty silly argument. You can't pick and choose what laws you like and want to follow based on your agenda. Whether you like it or not there are international borders and there are ramifications if you choose to violate the laws of whatever country you are going to. I'd like you to try your argument while sneaking into North Korea or turkmenistan. good luck!

It crazy awful. I didn’t see anyone start a thread. But they weren’t missing very long, so I think that also plays into less interest. His one was building before she was found dead.
So if this killer was was an American would this thread have been started that’s the key ? I tend to believe that the answer would be a resounding no ! It’s a tragedy no parents should have to endure I feel for the family and yes there has to be a way of getting complete immigration reform done l the killer should do life in jail or what ever the penalty is for murder in that state ...

Of course not. The fact the the killer was believed to be an illegal immigrant from south of the border is what made it a bigger story because the US border has been a discussion for 3 years now with this admin; dating all the way back to before the election. Change this guy in to a Canadian grifter here illegally and it doesn't become as politicized. I don't think it means there are any increased dangers from illegal immigrants nor should it be ignored as just another killing. It highlights a flaw in border security.
The republicans/WH would be hypocrites not to target this story based of the propaganda and exaggerated claims of violence they've been claiming this whole time in an effort to crack down on illegal immigration.

Alright, fair enough, but is there a time or body count when politicizing is acceptable? It seems most are ok politicizing situations when people are killed by a semi auto gun wielding suspect and blaming all gun owners and the NRA, but others who politicize illegal immigrant crime in this country are considered ridiculous and fear mongering? Aren't they both guilty of using the situation to their advantage based on what they believe is an important issue? While I believe the gun control/violence issue to be a bigger problem, that doesn't mean illegal immigration can't also be a problem that needs addressing.

I would say that guns and gun violence are tightly linked, and thus there obviously is a point to discussing them together as a joint issue. Immigrants and violence are only tightly linked in the conservative mind.

Right, but not everyone who owns a gun is violent or a criminal, just like not every immigrant is violent or a criminal. The mass shooter and illegal immigrant murderer are the extreme outlier in both instances and will therefore always garner the most attention and call for action because they highlight the flaws of how each process is being controlled, or in this case, not controlled.
There are thousands of crimes committed every year by illegal immigrants, whether violent, drug related, theft or anything else under the sun so while I agree this lone incident of violence should not be used to marginalize a whole demographic, neither should crimes related to guns. They should be bringing both sides to the table to address what can be done to limit them from happening. No matter what, we aren't going to stop either from occurring completely without major shifts in the current cultural norms or overcoming the unwillingness to accept there's a problem and that certain undesirable restrictions may need to be implemented.
