Back to Fenway on Sunday for me. My fourth trip in ten days: two concerts, two games. All winners so far.

Well you know Boston they make false pretense in any which way they can. The pitching sucks but their hitting has been a surprise all year. Having a decent bullpen would certainly help.

The pitching actually does not suck right now.
The rotation is rolling and has an ERA of 3.38 since the break.

Well I hope the good pitching continues....it's hard keeping up with the Sox down here in S Florida. Also if they can make the playoffs they will be dangerous team to face especially with their solid outfield defense/offense.

First place. Imagine that. Weekend series against the jays to close out the season? This might just go down to the wire. Still don't think they have the pitching to close the deal but who knows? Maybe Panda can pitch?

Koji pitching last night really helps out the bullpen. Moncada coming up from the minors has suddenly gotten Travis Shaw going.
They are playing good ball right now and Ortiz just got a late season all star break with the San Diego series. 23 games left all against the division. Should be fun.

Even though the National Concussion League season starts tonight, on a Thursday in Denver (can we please go back to games on Sunday and 1 game on Monday NIght please?, and #freebrady he's the best player in the league for chrissake) there's nothing like Sept .baseball when you're in the thick of it, or better yet, in first place. The postseason is where it's at.

Fenway's still lookin pretty good for her age. I haven't been to a game in a long time but I did see the eventual College World Series Coastal Carolina play a home game on my way to Columbia from Hampton this year.

This whole year has been a big surprise to me. It would be another surprise if the Sox can get the job done and win this weekend, they're playing well they CAN get it done.

I remember when dan the drama queen called the season "over" after sloppi fouled a ball off his leg.

sloppi, "tired", so hard.....because hauling your fat ass off the bench for 10 minutes a night is soooooooo exhausting :bawling:

You really need to come up with new material.

That, and you need to worry about your Giants.

Do agree on the DH though, but it's never gonna happen.

Should be a very interesting stretch.

I love Papi as much as any Red Sox fan, but that nasty foul off his leg was not why I called their season over. If you knew how to fucking read, you'd see that I've been lamenting their dismal fucking bullpen all season long. They have a shit-ton of trouble maintaining one- or two-run leads in late innings. If they're not up by at least five runs (and even that's cutting it close), it seems like more than half the time, they'll fucking lose the game after a reliever takes a giant shit on the mound. That puts a lot of pressure on the hitters. Awesome though they may be, they can't amass double-digit runs every damn night.

In other words, go fuck your pisshole with a rusty nail, Wobbie!

Giants bullpen is 10x worse. yesterday someone on ESPN said the Giants wouldn't turn it around because they don't hit. While it's true they don't hit, the bigger problem is their relievers who insist on dragging a gasoline can and matches out to the mound. Nothing worse than losing games you should have won.

Koji has looked strong so far in his two outings back from the DL and I still think Joe Kelly will help this month.
Dustin making a late run at the batting title.
20 wins for Rick and making very strong run at the Cy Young.
Fun team right now. Hopefully it continues.

I remember when dan the drama queen called the season "over" after sloppi fouled a ball off his leg.

sloppi, "tired", so hard.....because hauling your fat ass off the bench for 10 minutes a night is soooooooo exhausting :bawling:

    fuck the DH rule.

Yo! Take it to the Giants thread!
as a sox fan, shouldn't that be "yo, brah"?
I'll revise: Bang a uey, and take it down the Giants thread, you fahkin fahk!

^^^^^What was the purpose of that video.....that was pretty gruesome. Sometimes you seem to take these games way too seriously. Love the Sox and BEANTOWN sports but I don't go head over heels over them. I don't I even know Brady's #.....its not 11, is it 10?
