Sports radio, which I rarely listen to, was going on and on on Friday morning about what the Sox should do if they get swept by the Yankees. The consensus was to dump Farrell and go after Giradi, all because Giradi has a much better record in one run games. Wonder if they'll be walking back their comments tomorrow morning?

#12. A good mnemonic device I use to remember this is that the Pats beat the Seahawks in the Super Bowl and I called Brady "The Real 12th Man."

When I lived in Maryland many times I drove up Baltimore to see the Sox play and a couple Ravens game. Yes I do know Brady's # At the time of that posting though oddly I drew a blank.

Koji is on pace to end the year with a whip under 1 for the 7th straight year.
I wonder if this has ever happened.
I checked Rivera and he never had 7 straight years.
It's amazing because I don't think he even came close to 90 on a pitch all year.

Went to the Papi farewell stop at Camden Yards last nite.
The smashed phone was a nice touch.

Red Sox Nation was in full effect with A TON of Red Sox/Pats gear EVERYWHERE, along with thousands of empty seats. Even in the midst of a wild card/pennant race, the O's don't draw.

Yea, I was there Saturday night and granted it was the Rays but it was Saturday night, perfect weather for a night game and they're in the hunt. Plus it was a bobble head night and half the stadium is empty. Beautiful ball park too.

i dont know about that, I remember that game distinctly and he was getting squeezed all night, and that phone got effing destroyed...

O's fans are a strange lot. They're super put off by the fact the park is a third full of Sawwks fans, when most of their own town isn't even remotely interested, judging by the attendance. They consistently boo pitcher/catcher conferences AND throws to first (so stupid, Nationals fans as well). AND they repeatedly blow their own horn as the "best fans in the game". I heard more Go back to Boston (like that's bad...) and Brady Blows, and cheater comments and flat out boos whenever Ortiz was on the field. PF Classy.

side note...I saw more Tom Brady/Gronk/Patriots shirts yesterday (12, I counted) than Ravens gear combined (absolutely ZERO, none).

When I lived up in MD I went to many O's games both the old stadium (was it called Sullivan Stadium where the old Colts played as well) and Camden Yards. That was from the late 80's through the 2000's and for the most part the was usually packed. The O's were hardly a factor in the east division then but they had CAL. Many Sox fans were there but after 2004 the Yards got crazy with Sox fans. Tickets in Boston I gather became hard to get so fans I talked to would take vacations to cities the Sox played. Around that time the Sox became MLBs largest road attendance draw.

On the booing of Ortiz, what do you expect them to say.....here we welcome you to our home even though we suck! I'd boo too, just as long as they bring no violence towards me or anything else physical that's their right to boo the invaders. In fact I would eat up the cheater comments and anything else they had to say as long as they kept it clean if I my young daughter with me. Why, because that would mean the Patriots and the Sox were winning and in the end that's what matters.
