I have all 3 versions, I think it sounds the same. I don't think it sounds as bad as some say. But it certainly doesn't even come close to Pearl Jam at Benaroya Hall.

I was expecting mine to be purple like the MLB and TOTD, but it's not. It's a deep red. I've never seen a Benny in person, but it looks like it's similar.

    Variant??

Hopefully mine will be here soon. Eager to compare runouts and see if these are pressed from the same plates. If they are, I'm not looking forward to the sound.

I can't believe that this is still for sale, ANYTHING with the words limited is usually gone within hours on this site.
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

Definitely plum. Same plating, sounds the same to me as the black. Veiled, muddy, whatever you want to call it. Second LP definitely better than the first.

Yeah, mine is more plum or light purple...certainly a different "purple" than the TOTD and MLB records.

@Santos L. Halper -- What can you shed on this mystery? Any variants this time around?

I've never seen a 2003 "Benny" in person, but this Sonic McCready looks closer to what I'd imagine a 2003 Benny to be than what the TOTD looks like. It also looks like a Music for Film color.

My evaluation is pretty close to yours:

It's not shitty or bad quality per se... Not like the new Houses of the Holy which was a travesty. It's just a little lifeless. I think because of the full orchestra, we expected some real detail in the pressing. I mean, we listen to rock albums by and large, so when you get to class something up with an orchestra, you hope for something that blows you away on vinyl. My opinion..
