Election Night Thread

edited November 2012 in A Moving Train
Rather than having a bunch of threads going tonight, I thought it'd make sense to have one to discuss tonight.

What are everyone's plans? How was turnout in your area?

Me, I'm making dinner, grabbed a variety case of Harpoon and flicking between channels. I actually had to wait about 15 minutes to vote at my polling station in Philly. I voted around the same time in 2008 and there was no line. I am a little surprised. They said they had a great turnout all day and a strong turnout in Philly is key to Obama winning the state.

Strap in. Here we go.

It's going to be real close. And with voting "issues" in Pa., Fla., and Ohio already surfacing......it may be a long morning.
Looking forward to watching it on PBS.

I have some Flying Dog Pale Ale and Harpoon Octoberfest at the house. I'll probably start with some Johnny Red though. And some reefer.......

We'll see. I'm not even thinking about making predictions.

The Harpoon variety pack is the fall pack so I have some of that Octoberfest myself.

I'll be spending the evening with Eddie. I hope he drops some good news on us during the show!
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

I believe turnout was at 80% here in Eau Claire... holy balls.

Who would you say benefits from that?

Philly? They are using busses there to ship people in from the ghettos to vote, then they buy them lunch!

Philly is a target city to win over a crucial state!

Things here in VA are good, and Romney looks strong everywhere! MWOOT

CNN love their useless stats and percentages. Also their coverage display is making my retina's burn.

From what I understand, and I would be the first to jump on this, is that he isn't connected to him. I have read a bit on it over the past couple weeks.

I love CNN. THis is very encouraging for Romney in Virginia. You are looking at 9,000 votes

How many fucking tweets and Facebook updates do these people have to read to me? I barely care about what my own friends have to say, much less Peggy in Tulsa who "voted y'all". Every time I switch over, that's all they're doing. I don't have a problem with social media, but the actual media is running this into the ground. I'm just trying to see results, and all I'm getting is somebody standing around reading tweets.
