Would the kind gentleman from Windsor, who sent me some Jason bootlegs, kindly send me a PM if possible.

I've lost your email and forgot your username.

    Cheers,

Scene of the Crime (Betty LaVette)
    Living Bubba
    Gravity's Gone
    People on the Moon
    Space City
    Nine Bullets
    Daddy's Cup
    Sinkhole
    Let there be Rock

    I'm Sorry Houston (SHONNA)
    Devil Don't Stay
    Butthole State Trooper Buttholeville
    People who Died

  • A friend went to the Baltimore show and said Shonna sang one of her songs there, too; I didn't get the name of it, though.

What do you guys think of Ryan Bingham, who's been opening on this tour?

Ryan started opening after the dates that I saw.....no opener for the TDU show...Warm in the Wake opened the rock show that I attended.....I thought that they were a band w/ a lot potential.

  • They played "I'm Your Puppet" (which was apparently written by Spooner - who knew?) at the Baltimore and Chicago shows too; in Chicago, it was sung as a duet between Patterson and surprise guest Kelly Hogan (who sings on Southern Rock Opera).

I'm so hooked. I'm thinking about doing a short string of dates on the spring tour - hope they announce them soon!

I thought Ryan Bingham was just all right; he was pretty good for an opening act.

I'm too jealous to even begin to read this thread.
  • I showed an old friend that live DVD, that they released in 2005, and he became an instant fan. The next day he asked to see it again, before he hit the road back home...made me lol

That live dvd is one of the greatest there is

Okay, I have a serious question. How does the DBT make up for Jason when playing live? I was watching the DVD form the 40 watt club and I didn't realize Jason played so much lead guitar. Does the new dude play anything like Jason, and is he the one playing all of the solos Jason played?

Also, what songs can we expect NOT to hear live now that Jason's has left? Of cousre songs like Outfit, Decoration Day etc. (the ones where Jason sings) won't be played, but what about the songs where he doesn't sing and had a large impact on the guitar sound?

Neff seemed to play a lot of lead...don't pay enough attention to who plays what solos, but you may have answered your own question....no Jason songs at the two shows that I have seen since he left....so, don't count on seeing any songs that he wrote or sang lead on (they are the same thing) being in the set-list....other than that I suspect everything is fair game

    Oh that would be amazing!

Patterson and Bettye LaVette will both be here in Chicago on 12/7 - I'm going to both gigs and hope Patterson sits in with Bettye (or vice versa)!

    From the DBT site:

THE INTERNATIONAL HOME FRONT TOUR kicks off with an American Sneak Peak on January 10th when we will be playing the album live in its entirety (for maybe the only time, certainly a rare event at best) as a benefit for our most cherished cause, NUCI'S SPACE Musician's Resource Center in Athens GA.

    and

We'll be kicking it off stateside in early February.
We've made this beautiful album and now we're going to see how hard we can Rock that SOB.
Dates should all be announced (at least for the first 3 legs) very soon so stay tuned and keep checking back.

Hope to see you all on the road! I kind of want to do a DBT mini-tour...
