Yeah... I wouldn't be surprised if the record is circulating by Christmas.
Good times! The Man has a branch office in each of our brains, his corporate emblem is a white albatross, each local rep has a cover known as the Ego, and their mission in this world is Bad Shit.0 -

Still on the hunt for Whisper...as soon as I get it, you'll know.

I wonder if they'll let that girl sing on a record.

From the sounds of it they have. Someone on the ninebullets board overheard a soundcheck and heard her doing one... So I think they may be back to 3 songwriters. The Man has a branch office in each of our brains, his corporate emblem is a white albatross, each local rep has a cover known as the Ego, and their mission in this world is Bad Shit.0 -

That's right...the Huston song.
She's got a very distinguished voice.

Yeah, I have always liked her backing vocals and the verse she takes in the "Like a rolling stone" cover is quite good. This could definitely be a really cool thing. The Man has a branch office in each of our brains, his corporate emblem is a white albatross, each local rep has a cover known as the Ego, and their mission in this world is Bad Shit.0 -

3 Shonna songs on the record.... and 7 (!) Cooley songs.
The thing about Shonna's singing is you can tell that she is from around here.In other words, her accent is pretty close to mine.
All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.0 -

I didn't want to come out and say she has a country sounding voice, but yeah.

The trading of verses in the song is brilliant.
Cooley coming in at the end with his:
"WELLL....Princess on the steeple and all the pretty people
They're drinkin', thinkin' that they got it made"
Awesome.

I noticed this morning that the boot from Friday night's show is up at archives. All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.0 -

saw jason in buffalo last night. excellent show. i draw a bit of a blank on the middle of the setlist for reasons i won't get into, but he opened with try, grown and goddamn lonely love. encored with a far too rockin version of outfit then made up for it with a killer decoration day. the guitarist sang on psycho killer. danko/manuel, razor town and and the assassin stood out but the highlight was probably, surprisingly, never gonna change. he spent some time greeting fans at the door and was around before and after the show. i got a chance to insist he come back and had him sign a poster. A-. might've been a solid A were it not for my mini crisis. definitely go if ya get a chance.0

Checkout Time in Vegas
•Great version of 18 Wheels...listening to it now.
•Checkout Time in Vegas is going to be great on the album...can't wait to hear the finished product.

Buttholeville (w/State Trooper by the "Boss") also rocked at that show. All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. That's one thing about Jason...he seems very accessible.
He's doing it the old fashion way...touring like crazy and connecting with fans on a personal level.

Even when he was with the Truckers he was like that. The last time I saw them with him in the band, he was walking around the club before the show, talking to fans, drinking at the bar, just hanging out. It was good to see.The Man has a branch office in each of our brains, his corporate emblem is a white albatross, each local rep has a cover known as the Ego, and their mission in this world is Bad Shit.0 -

He came out to watch The Drams in Memphis and American Minor in Nashville.
My friends went down and thanked him for coming to Memphis. I didn't want to bother him before the show and didn't want to say something idiotic, so I stayed in the balcony drinking my Bud Light.
Also, from his many Myspace postings...he doesn't seem like a rockstar. Just a guy who plays music.

So, was anyone else at the Dirt Underneath show in Madison over the weekend? I saw a guy in a PJ shirt, but didn't say hi.
This was my first DBT experience, and it completely blew me away. I can't imagine what the Rock Show is going to do! I'm seeing them again tonight - can't wait."What happens when so many people agree on something? Can we take this beyond the parking lot when we leave tonight?" -EV, Iconoclasts0 -
