    also

    lots of people are broke

sooo maybe they can buy them if given more notice
Why wouldnt i be serious. In the nineties they sold out everything, hell in '98 they had 2 west palm beach shows. Now they only have one and fan club tix seem to be moving slower than usual. This could be because they have more who knows for sure.

Put it this way, Im sure that there are the same percentage of fans in West Palm Beach as there are in NYC city relative to the population of each city. But if 5% of the WPB population are Pearl Jam fans that would be say 20,000 people where as 5% of NYC population would be 75,000 (numbers areclearly made up). So even if they sell out MSG it doesnt gauge the demand around the country.

You could ask plenty of questions about this...
    - Since the south was passed by in '06, did fan club members in the south decide not to renew for two years, therefore leaving them out of the presale?
    - Are there still people who haven't checked their e-mail to know about the concert? It was announced right before Easter weekend...
    - Is Florida not a Pearl Jam hotspot?

You can ask so many questions, make excuses, whatever. They'll sell their tickets, people will attend. If it doesn't sell out completely, the band isn't quitting. No need to be worried.

People simply refuse to believe that these are HUGE venues, and 10 C has plenty of tix, and also, makes the best effor to get tix to members even when they dont have tix....

I said all along these will be easier to get.....people dont listen.

for the 05 and 06 tours, the tickets lasted a few days each, with the exception of a couple of shows.

Remember, these are fan club tickets.....only fan club members can purchase.

These are not VIC tickets or Ed solo tours where only a few hundred are available.

THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF TICKETS FOR THESE SHOWS.

No shit. The St Pete Times Forums (Tampa) is bigger than MSG (size wise.) Hell, WPB holds up to 19,000 people for a concert and SC holds 18,000 so these places aren't small at all. It's not like these are small venues where the band can't move 500-1000 tickets. The smallest venue, if you stick to the 10% ten club, would have 1800 fan club tickets. All venues added up you have 5800 fan club only tickets. In three different areas, hours a part. It was already clelar that Pearl Jam's largest fan base did not lay in the South but people need to stop trying to belittle the shows we got and make it seem like we don't give a shit that PJ is coming, were not going. I myslef bought two pairs of tickets today, and I know many others have also. This tickets will move when open to the public.

Maybe NASCAR or a monster truck rally is in town that week.

    Shame on you South.
Once in a while you can get shown the light, in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

I know. People are seriously crazy.

they do realize that this is a FANCLUB sale, correct?

MOST of the population arent crazy fanclub members like we are.

the tickets will sell out.....when they go ONSALE. Chicago in 06 was available for a few days, and they still announced a second show...while the first still had available tickets.....

And by the way, I am clearly from the south, but I just can't make any of the southern shows due to work schedule. That's the only reason.

So I am opting for Mansfield instead.

Really? And I was under the impression that anything north of Virgina sold out within two minutes. People are underestimating the size of these venues.
  • blew all my money getting Vedder solo tickets had to pay an arm and a leg just to get in the door for the LA shows

I'm happy tix are still available, maybe i'll actually have a chance to snag garden tix and they won't sell out in .00001 seconds

To all the fla people enjoy, wish i was going to be there too

In the past tours ALL fanclub members got tix to the shows during the presale regardless of how many of us bought tix. Hence, they wont sellout until at least they are available to the general public.
MSG 03 all fanclub members got tix to the shows which is why the whole floor and the whole lower bowl were fanclub members. I have a 174xxx number and I was in the lower bowl many sections from the satge.
... two birds is what they'll see ... getting lost upon their way ...
  • it's not a small increase. tix in 2003 were $40. now they're $70. no big deal to me personally, but I bet it is to a lot of people.

You do realize the dollar has lost like nearly a full 30% of its value since then, right?

    40/70 - 1 = .43 or 43% increase.
    43%-30% = 13% increase.

13% ... does that seem like a "fair" increase from 2003?

You guys need to look up the term "inflation"
and then get a clue about what the Fed is doing to your dollar.
The dollar has gone from like 120 on the dollar index in the mid 90s to about 72 now.

Its lost half its value in 10 years.
Don't think the band is going to take a 50% pay cut to keep prices where they were 10 years ago.

If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?

Stereotypical comment, but it was kind of funny.
