    I've seen my cat use it once ... and it may because I threw a catnip toy in it.  I will leave it out for a few months and if she doesn't use it, I will give it to my niece.  

    Too many sleeping options to choose from.  As you know, a cat may sleep somewhere for a year and then never again.

    Lukin is napping in it right now. Both my cats use it several times a day. But you are right that they use something for a while then never seem interested in it again. They have a few toys like that. If I put some of the toys away for a few months and then bring them out again they act like they are brand new toys.
