Wow. I just put the pasta on for my Sunday meat sauce as I saw this. No better way to eat on a Sunday! Enjoy Jose.

Hey all! I hope everyone who celebrates had an awesome Thanksgiving. I went home to visit family, and I was responsible for bringing dessert. I made a couple pumpkin pies, but the star of the show was my homemade Baja Blast Pie. It turned out great, and was tasty! My nephews loved having a blue pie at the table.

    Hey TJ.
    Just googled it. Whaaaa?
    Send me a slice.
Taco bell has it. Man crazy stuff. I'm equally intrigued & appalled ;)

Taco Bell was definitely the inspiration. I've never actually had their's, but I looked at it and was like, "I think I know what they are going for". So I made a graham cracker crust and I treated it similar to like a no bake key lime type pie, but I reduced Baja Blast to a syrup for flavor, and used some food coloring to make it look legit.

my wife is out of town…I’m trying to be a little healthier than my usual pizza binges.

I don’t do the shopping…I went to the store, looking for a whole chicken, either cut up or not…they had none. Do stores not sell whole chickens anymore?

First attempt at deep fried Turkey. I put it way out on the lawn for fear of burning my parents' house down.
It came out good, but not mind blowing. I may have left it a few minutes too long but I was going on breast temp, and wasn't ready to pull it until it hit 160.

I DO vacuum. Half the house is my responsibility.

I basically only know where the beer is located at our supermarket. I was surprised to not find any whole chickens…..but I didn’t want to ask because, you know…

While I was in Reno last week, I got to partake in some regional fast food that I can only get when I go visit family: In-n-Out and Jimboy's. Jimboy's started out of a trailer in Lake Tahoe in 1954. That's 8 years before Taco Bell existed. They make a very unique, Americanized version of tacos. I like the ground beef tacos. Those consist of a yellow corn tortilla that is cooked on the griddle, filled with seasoned ground beef, shredded american cheese, and chopped Iceberg lettuce. The final touch is a dusting of parmesan cheese on the outside of the taco shell after cooking. Since we don't have Jimboy's in Seattle, I decided last night to make my own, and they turned out pretty damn good.
