Just from following this thread it appears you use an outside fire a lot for cooking. Do you use the outside fire for alot of your meals. Think that’s pretty wild but also alot of work and I would assume you don’t live in a snowbelt area

It is cold, about 30ish F outside today. I just love being outside.

No snowbelt, single digits, or I'd be inside more for sure.

Above is just me romanticizing & never trying 'Chestnuuuuttttsss roasting over open firrrre".

Was going to make my green chili over the fire, but yes. A lot of work to build up the coals. So used propane grill.

Cooking outside adds a layer of flavor i can't get from a stove.
Hot chili in the cold winter air just does something for me.

I have a kitchen, but choose not to use it much.

Sorry for the long answer, but kind of hard to describe.
    ;)

lol appreciate the answer actually. I completely get it. I haven’t been camping in a tent in decades now, but when we did I loved cooking over an open fire and you do get some sort of an extra flavour it seems
the meals you have photos of on the forum look delicious and good. Keep doing what you’re doing, love it! 😄
