I was (perhaps not quite as well as you did) trying to make a similar post earlier in relation to the snapshot taken of his comments about guns.

Its quite clear there are a lot of people who loved Charlie, and its fairly clear there are many who despise him. Literally hate him.

Division, lovely division. Such is the strength of feeling - those who love him will not consider the viewpoint of those who hate him, and those who hate him are not prepared to consider arguments made in his defence. Despite what anyone thinks, no one is actually right......

The milquetoast point of view where no one is right despite the evidence, in the hopes that this will help us get along.

I can’t even fathom the amount of vitriol I’ve avoided by making that decision. Not getting duped and influenced on a daily basis is nice too. It’s terrible, but I don't see it changing until adults start acting like...adults.

I agree with you, and my only guess would be feeling like most of his life he was being ridiculed, demonized, or suppressed by Charlie Kirk and people like him. We may disagree on other things, surely, but when you're told your whole life you're not good enough because of who you are, maybe you didn't deserve what you have, for some that's a lot of weight to bear.

I've been saying for a few years that we are screwed if we don't put more restrictions on social media. How do we celebrate the first amendment when so many of us have no fucking idea what is true and what isn't true....we're fucked.

And to top it off...our enemies (Russia/China, etc) infiltrate our social media and create a lot of the misinformation that elected politicians refer to, share, etc.

Adults are the fucking worst. Facebook started as a way to connect with old friends and family....now it's just targeted bullshit.

Yeah you are either a person that identifies with what Kirk is saying or you completely oppose it.
