Other stories suggest someone in the family did a fair bit of social media scrubbing recently. I'm sure someone had the foresight to collect screen grabs.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was a "closet" liberal. There's a picture of him and his father, who's wearing a 3%er shirt. I'm sure if he did consider himself liberal he'd have felt incredibly repressed in an environment like that.

This discussion of guns will never end, guns will never go away, that is a fact. It is not the gun that people should be worried about, it's the person in possession of the gun they should be worried about. Very intelligent people here on this forum, some age and life in history we have lived and seen, do we not know this by now? If a human being wants to create chaos, pull the trigger and shoot, they will. it's not complicated, it's reality. How long have guns/weapons been around? it's not the guns, it's the people who choose to create destruction.

For one, that’s not what she said. She never said forgiveness. At least not in the part you quoted and posted.
And her two statements are not contradictory of each other. You can pray for someone and their family and still want proper punishment, and in this case if you believe in the death penalty this absolutely fits that.
But in your words, forgiveness means different things to families. We watch a lot of true crime documentaries, and on so many of them the family states that they forgive the person who took their loved one away, but I’ve never seen a single case where they want them absolved from consequences. Usually it means they let go of their hate and allow themselves to carry on.
This happened in Utah. Did anyone not expect a white male involved? I don’t think anyone’s views on the situation changed when they discovered it was a white male in Utah who was the shooter.
I would put my money on if she was asked again, she’d still support the death penalty here.
