The band is definitely in a weird place right now.  The firing of Josh is strange….

Looks like they’ve only got a couple of months to get the drummer situation resolved

Is there any chance he was simply booted because Dave wants to pick up heavy touring without restrictions again?

Isnt Josh the drummer for A Perfect Circle?  They have shows scheduled during the time that Foos just announced SE Asia.  Maybe it is just a scheduling conflict thing??

Maybe, but I would also think that would be an easy enough conversation for two adults to have.

Bit muddy like Concrete and Gold. Appreciate the 70s vibe they tried to bring there but didn't care for that sound at all-same thing here and the song itself isn't good enough to pull itself out of that rut for mine.

Given the Foos' recent publicity has been about negative stuff it'll be interesting to see if it affects any mindsets in terms of being responsive to new material. Especially given they're 11 albums in.

Yup. I saw the same show in DC. It was in a smallish club. I was front row right in front of Eddie for Mike Watt. I saw Dave walking around the club after the show. I told him I liked his new band and wished him luck with it. He thanked me. I would say he had pretty good luck with it.

^we were lucky to be around back then with all this great music!!  I kinda wish I would have tried to chat it up with some of those superhero rockers. Back then I just loved the music. Didn't care about meeting anyone. That changed when I went to see Sting at Roseland with a bud of mine. After the show he suggested we hang out back to meet him. I never thought about doing that. That was when my fanboy switch turned on!
