What time did you get there? Curious what the scene is like in case they traverse the country Jack White style.

The announcement went out at 10am PT and I stepped foot in line at the venue a minute or two after 11am. There were probably 150-ish people already in line at that time.

I imagine these are just a few semi-local warm up shows before they head overseas in a couple weeks.

Interesting...thanks. Have a blast. That San Luis Obispo setlist was wild. I didn’t expect them to play so long or go so deep.

Would still love to hear any sort of reasoning for firing Josh Freese. Not that he’s hurting, he’s way better off where he is now. But man….. fuck Dave Grohl.
    yikes.
Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer

Yeah, since he fathered a child with someone not his wife, I've really soured on him. An affair is one thing, a child is much more serious. What is he, 15 years old and not reponsible enough to prevent that?

** it doesn't change my opinion of the FF songs that I really like, but I've seen them several times, so I'm probably good. And yes, Josh is better than FF.

ok, I thought you were saying that just in the context of a personnel change in his band.

I’m praying for a NJ/NYC/Philly pop up show as well. But don’t think that’s happening since they’re already passing through the area on the way up to New Haven.

maybe this was planned to happen earlier but the drummer situation moved it back. maybe it wasn't.

and what's wrong with doing something fun someone else did first if it shows that it worked? I mean, playing secret shows in small venues wasn't exactly invented by JW.
