They are worse, for sure, but the message of we are hypocrites as well (but not as much) and we move the goalposts too (but not to the magnitudes) may need some tweaking leading up to the midterms.1993: 11/22 Little Rock

mrussel1 said:What exactly was the lying and manipulation of the nomination process. Please explain who lied to you. Because if you knew anything about the super delegate process, it was pretty clear how this was going to play out.His health condition was withheld from the public, likely before Iowa. Since they were lying, we are not sure when he got as bad as he was in June 2024.. He clearly was not capable of conducting a complex decision making process. Once it became obvious with that historically poor debate performance , they waited three weeks to prevent any chance of a democratic process. Then they appointed Harris as nominee. I’ll stop there, although there is more, This was obvious to non democrats during the campaign. Not sure why it needs to be typed out here.0

Where democrats find the states to win the senate and electoral college again, and by extension a liberal seat on the Court, is the complex question0

mrussel1 said:A lot of “they” in there. What you fail to mention is that the delegates were pledged to Biden. He had to drop out to free the delegates. You were there. You saw the daily pressure from the party. You want to blame Team Biden, fine. But it wasn’t some grand conspiracy to prevent primaries. They were impossible to conduct. So no matter how you slice it, the nomination would be at the convention by the delegates. The delegates then committed to Harris before the convention to reduce the chaos. That is perfectly rational.09/15/1998 & 09/16/1998, Mansfield, MA; 08/29/00 08/30/00, Mansfield, MA; 07/02/03, 07/03/03, Mansfield, MA; 09/28/04, 09/29/04, Boston, MA; 09/22/05, Halifax, NS; 05/24/06, 05/25/06, Boston, MA; 07/22/06, 07/23/06, Gorge, WA; 06/27/2008, Hartford; 06/28/08, 06/30/08, Mansfield; 08/18/2009, O2, London, UK; 10/30/09, 10/31/09, Philadelphia, PA; 05/15/10, Hartford, CT; 05/17/10, Boston, MA; 05/20/10, 05/21/10, NY, NY; 06/22/10, Dublin, IRE; 06/23/10, Northern Ireland; 09/03/11, 09/04/11, Alpine Valley, WI; 09/11/11, 09/12/11, Toronto, Ont; 09/14/11, Ottawa, Ont; 09/15/11, Hamilton, Ont; 07/02/2012, Prague, Czech Republic; 07/04/2012 & 07/05/2012, Berlin, Germany; 07/07/2012, Stockholm, Sweden; 09/30/2012, Missoula, MT; 07/16/2013, London, Ont; 07/19/2013, Chicago, IL; 10/15/2013 & 10/16/2013, Worcester, MA; 10/21/2013 & 10/22/2013, Philadelphia, PA; 10/25/2013, Hartford, CT; 11/29/2013, Portland, OR; 11/30/2013, Spokane, WA; 12/04/2013, Vancouver, BC; 12/06/2013, Seattle, WA; 10/03/2014, St. Louis. a better way forward imo is to ask voters and listen to whats important to them. begin the conversation and largy shut up and take in whats said. craft your platform around that.and maybe person to person, apologize for not doing this sooner._____________________________________SIGNATURE________________________________________________

cincybearcat said:Brushing this off is pretty ignorant in my opinion. It is an extremely awful (and stupid) situation. It was very evident. Certainly not the worst thing that ever happened, but damn, what a disgrace for the party.
It is funny though, people tend to hold democrats accountable for these stupid things (and they did this election)...but that 30% of GOP voters never hold their party accountable....plenty ok with the hypocrisy and moving goalposts. So frustrating.Hugh Freaking Dillon is currently out of the office, returning sometime in the fall0 -

“A shell.” Good lord. Brandon’s cognitive ability as it relates to “politics”, “governing”, “legislating” or any other gut instinct related to his role as POTUS is and was, by this point, reflexive and going to be in the best interests of the nation. His moral compass would ensure it.
Why are we discussing Brandon, anyway? He’s out of office and we have the greatest man ever to be elected in office. Surely, things are going great, eh?
And even if Brandon was mentally deficient, like Ronny Ray Guns was in his second term, I would have trusted those around him, and Kamala in the wings in waiting, way more than the stupid, bullshit con artists we have now.
”A shell” over the disgrace of humanity and ‘Murica’s former promise.
