    Despite what you think, I did hope the Liberals would win me back. Carney was about as far from the right person as the party could have gone. Of the field that was left in the race I had been hoping Karina Gould would have won.
    I don't know enough about what you posted to comment. Sometimes I don't comment because I'm not educated enough to, not because I'm ignoring you personally. 

    And just stating an opinion that I didn't think it was ever in the cards for you to vote liberal wasn't an attack. I would just find it surprising that you'd even consider it, knowing that policy won't change that much. 
    Fair enough, but why not ask me the question instead of stating an assumption?

    If I were voting against a party, that would virtually lock my vote in for the Conservatives to prevent the NDP from ever forming government federally.

     But I choose instead to vote for the party that most closely aligns with my concerns and I look at 3 pillars: law & order, military and the economy. Any other policies are worthy of interest but those are my fundamental issues.

    Over 30-some years of following our politics more often than not the Conservatives have a better track record on my big 3, especially law & order. But as I’ve said before I don’t belong to any political party and try to work to keep my vote beholden to no one.

    I’ll admit that on this forum at least I don’t feel any need to criticize PP and the Conservatives since so many others are incredibly eager to do so, at which point I’ll point back to my first paragraph in this post.

    I think as I explained myself it’s been clear that I did hope Carney would prove to be a viable alternative. But you still haven’t disputed any of the points I made against Carney. If you’re not yet aware of those allegations then look into them before you vote is all I ask.

    So, would I have ever voted for Carney? Maybe, but he’s taken himself out of the running since his anointment (insert joke yet again about wondering how many underage Chinese citizens voted for Carney?). Like Paul Chiang he looks good on paper, but when he’s observed over time he’s something else.

    sucks.. but I'm in the same boat presently. I don't consider myself a liberal or Carney fan per se.  But one thing I do know for sure, I cringe every time I think of Pierre as PM. 

    That said... should he win the election.. I can't see him being worse than Trudeau by a long shot.  (Time will tell)

    I don't know. If he aligns himself with the orange man, PP could be much much worse than Trudeau.

    I’m saying be careful you don’t elect someone worse just to negate my vote.

    My own voting experience is that my representation in government doesn’t align with my own vote. But by voting FOR something as opposed to voting to counter others votes at the end I can live with myself and whatever the result may be.

    that still doesn't make sense. why would I vote for someone who I thought could be worse just to negate someone else's vote? I'm voting carney cuz I can't vote for PP. And I won't vote Singh. 

    if I thought carney was "bad" I either would vote Green or not at all.

    It doesn't really matter.   The odds of either party making anything better is slim to one.  Not sure everyone gets so behind politicians.  Most of them just make things worse.

    He’s trying to walk that line of acting like trump but trying to act like he’d stand up to him. Carney’s already shown me his big middle finger to trump, and I fucking loved it.
