The whole point of touring is not to just play to 10k 10C fans - its to expand their overall fan base.. and also bring in more unique fans per show.. Merch sales and all the add ons would be less, also GP would be less interested, people dont want to be clubs., Last the 10c people complain a lot as it is, can you imagine. If PJ would force TM to the 10% premium and ensure BOTS and scalped tickets would be voided, and make a lottery system that worked for everyone, that would clean up much of the issues.SHZA said:

I'm old enough to remember when PJ at least acted like they cared about their fan base. I wish they would do 1 tour where they catered to the 10c who have been faithful for decades. Allocate the entire arena for 10c first and if there is still 5k seats remaining, THEN open it up to the general public. They would still get the same revenue, correct? Missoula was like that too. GAs readily available and sitting on day of show. Some of the west coast dates were relatively easy too. Chicago and the east coast shows seemed basically impossible. Remains to be seen how these shows will play out.craigraether said:

The Friday Pitts, Sunday shows will be hardest. of course Florida.. I think Nash, and Raleigh will end up being moderate, I can see one of the Raleigh (2) being like the Vancouver shows..SHZA said:

Yeah NO DRUGS! LOL. Well people were booing because there was no updated message that Ed was done. When he left he said he would go chill and be back later. Also when they did RIFW a second time you know its going to get ugly.. The SJ make up show is in my top 5 all time shows ( all bands)julieooliern said:

The point of touring is to generate revenue. The band sells the entire tour to the promoter, in this case LiveNation in the States, for a guaranteed sum. A predictable amount in merch sales for a typical arena show and the band is more than satisfied to work for 3 weeks at a time @ 10 shows per run on their terms with a day off for rest between events.craigraether said:

A sell out is a sell out but never guaranteed depending on the market. The lottery will never be perfect regardless because supply will never outpace demand. Burner accounts make it easy to purchase first and dump later on F2F so short of restrictions on winning X shows per tour run the crush will never be contained.To quote the 10C from Newsletter #8: "Please understand we have a lot of members and it is very hard to please everybody. The first leg of the RHCP tour when they brought John F. back sold very well, with about half of all shows selling out for stadiums & ballparks.
Legs 2 & 3? Not so much.
Leg 1 had them at Camping World Stadium (Citrus Bowl) in Orlando to a 97% (+/- 2%) turnout.
They came back to Tampa over a year later, and had to settle for the MidFlorida (formerly Ford) Amphitheater. Time or a different device on a different network. It’s usually tied to the network IP so even if you are on a different device at home it still looks like the request is coming from the same place. I have hit this road block this time but in the past I’m only been tag for less than a hour. Also don’t load multiple pages at the same time. You can have multiple tabs open but let one load and then the other and then the other.
