I'm still trying to figure out what a PJ Premium ticket even is.  What's "premium" about it other than listing it for 5x face value for a random seat?  I also wonder if the band even cares anymore how they bend over the fan club.
I know it doesn't look this way now, but most tickets overall are not premium. Only 10% are premium while the rest are capped at 185. At least the band cares enough to do this.

For Paul McCartney there is no cap. It's always dynamic pricing. When I saw him two and a half year ago the cheapest were 250 wayyyyy up in the rafters.
I'm old enough to remember when PJ at least acted like they cared about their fan base.  I wish they would do 1 tour where they catered to the 10c who have been faithful for decades. Allocate the entire arena for 10c first and if there is still 5k seats remaining, THEN open it up to the general public.  They would still get the same revenue, correct?  I don't get why they only provide such a small number of seats for 10c.  Its not like they are a new band. These dudes are 60.  They aren't exactly attracting a new fan base at this point.  Just helping scalpers.

The best way to fight the bots and scalpers is to provide a very specific time as to when you are going to list your tickets. For example, posts like this..  "I am going to list two seats in section XXX for Pittsburgh night 1 at exactly 5:30pm est".   Doing this lets fans that are here be ready to grab them. Even better, select a fan here and give them that info privately in a PM.
And you don't think those people are lurking here....?
sure but it increases the odds. I got GA for U2 at Sphere multiple times because fans followed this strategy. Sure I missed a few times, but I got them a few times as well. It helps
Apples and oranges. Certain dates had high demand, but GA tickets for some of those shows didn't sell instantly and even sold below face value on secondary sites.
It works a hell of a lot better than "I just posted tickets for sale, here is a link".  Knowing they are going up BEFORE they get listed is a big advantage.  Then you can F5 at the proper time
Good seats are getting sniped by bots even when there's a heads up BEFORE they are listed. F5 doesn't work anymore. It used to. With the link, you can theoretically purchase before the bot has a chance.
I refreshed too many times & now TM has paused my activity both on my PC and my phone.

Anyone know how long this lasts?
Sometimes a few hours. Sometimes 24. Sometimes longer. See this reddit thread for some examples: https://www.reddit.com/r/Ticketmaster/comments/1gsb3xw/your_browsing_activity_has_been_paused_error_on/

TM has clearly taken a lazy scattershot approach to this so they can say they're doing 'something' to combat bots. But it doesn't work. Bots still get tickets, and lots of humans get blocked for demonstrating behaviors that are necessary to have any chance at beating bots.

    It's pretty crappy.

I was pretty close to 100% successful with a link sent via PM last tour.  Links shared on the board were tougher, but they mostly went to a faster club member, which was great to see.

Didnt sellout, GA would sit on fan to fan for hours... and then it would sell and another would pop up... large portions of the upper deck empty.. .... So fan to fan was super easy to get what ever you wanted... and No BOTS and No Secondary markup, no premium

I might be missing something, but I would think the band, TM and the venue all get the same revenue.  The band would be playing to a crowd full of 10c members and not 10k random people who could give AF less. It would likely increase the number of 10c memberships significantly, which is just free money for the band. Actually reduces scalping which is currently out of control.  I really don't see a negative for any party in this.

I'm not sure how the revenue would be the same if they cut out premium unless they raised the price of all other seats.

Is that the infamous show when Eddie had stomach problems and Matt had covid so they brought Dave K?
Yes was all that.... and so what it didnt sell out. Was a great show, Dave Krusen on Drums... But I'll tell you, Ed came out and didnt look good, def was struggling .. and when after given to fly he said he had stomach issues, my heart sank. I was at the SF show in 95 where Ed had a similar issue ( Red Mosquito) and only did 7 songs..

Yes SHZA is right, and late nights are not working either, BOTS seem to be always on. So until Pearl Jam plays Fresno again, we need share links.. spread the word..
    Why Fresno?
Didnt sellout, GA would sit on fan to fan for hours... and then it would sell and another would pop up... large portions of the upper deck empty.. .... So fan to fan was super easy to get what ever you wanted... and No BOTS and No Secondary markup, no premium
Other than not selling out it sounds like dream!

Poor Ed. I also suffer from stomach issues and when it's like that I call in sick at work.
Amazing he pulled through and did the show.
