I have also been placed in bot Jail, first time ever. Haven’t been able to search for tickets since yesterday at lunch time. And I spent maybe 20-30 minutes on the app the entire day.
Just another fun twist to F2F this year.
Any idea on how to clear this?
Time or a different device on a different network. It’s usually tied to the network IP so even if you are on a different device at home it still looks like the request is coming from the same place. I have hit this road block this time but in the past I’m only been tag for less than a hour. Also don’t load multiple pages at the same time. You can have multiple tabs open but let one load and then the other and then the other. You let them all load at the last time and you are going to get a sold out or tagged as a bot.
I’ve tried cellular and WiFi, both on my laptop and my cell. Neither work. Oh well.
Any idea if a VPN can bypass this?

No, a VPN bottles you up too. Unfortunately the answer is just time. I’ve had the blocks last from an hour or two up to a full day. I contacted TM about it and they told me to avoid getting blocked, I should not refresh the page more than 3 times in a 10 minute span. If that’s the criterion they’re using to determine who’s a bot, we stand no chance against the actual bots.

I will give that a try. Problem for me is, its blocking me on both the app and the website, so it seems linked to my entire network and cellular.

They got me last night as well. I actually called TM because while I have been put on a time out before for refreshing too fast I was really careful not to do that this time. So I called TM and told them that and asked why I was put on pause. Apparently it was because I was on the site too many times in one day. I asked how many times I am allowed to be on the site in one day and they couldn’t tell me. So now it seems to be not only how fast you move through the site but also how long per day you are on the site. It feels like this is only punishing people who want to buy themselves tickets and compete with bots. But it is doing nothing to stop the bots. They are punishing the wrong people.
It's pretty discouraging when I can't even snag the less in demand Raleigh show. I was on there when it popped up and did it in like a fraction of a second and still said no longer available.
My TM timeout is definitely account specific - it happened while on my work computer at lunchtime yesterday, and my phone was the same. Got home last night, logged on through my home network on my personal laptop & still timed out.

Scalpers control the market by snatching up all of the tickets until the market tanks on the secondary sites and then we see them hang around on ticketmaster
I think it’s hilarious that people get locked out from TM for being “too much like a bot” when actual bots are running rampant. TM is a scam.

Presumably the intent of these measures is to block actual bots. But that would really only help us if they managed to block all the bots at the same time and for long periods. That probably isn't happening. So all it winds up doing is causing frustration for actual fans looking for face value tickets.
This was actually a fun game in 2023, now it's just a giant pain in the ass. Gotta wait five months until TM starts dropping lots of tickets to have a chance.
Mine is definitely account linked. Just uninstalled and re-installed app. Also trying now on my in-laws network at their house. So everything is different, and I’m still locked out.

Yeah, TM definitely changed up their algorithm recently and how the ban is implemented. In the past, I could just delete a specific cookie and I’d be good to go again. That no longer works, nor does anything else that has ever worked in the past.
They are more aggressive on what will get you blocked, and the block, as best I can tell, cannot be circumvented.

It seems they changed it to this. It used be that your IP address was blocked but you could log on with another wifi or cellular. Now the whole account is blocked. They are just making the whole ticket buying experience worse and worse.
Does anyone else have this happen - when you see seats on TM, you click on them, go to put them into your cart, TM texts your phone a number to enter in before you go onto the payment screen?
I've literally tried to find this... anywhere... to disable and apparently you can't? Has nothing to do with my bank either.
or you can come to terms and realize you're the only one who can forgive yourself oh yeah... makes much more sense to live in the present tense...

Sorry to hear. That is some shit. They keep adjusting to mess with actual humans.

Not during checkout. I get it sometimes when logging into TM during pre-sales.
I’ve just been going back and forth between 2 tickets and 1 ticket as a way to refresh. Is this getting people blocked?
you could experience a temporary block depending on how fast you do it

Could also play the game of time dropping a single ticket at a time in the middle of the night.
