We’re in the homestretch of this year‘s tour and it’s been a real pleasure. Fantastic cities and fantastic audiences. We’ve had a great time playing for you.One thing we feel obliged to explain:When we go on tour, the whole point of it for the band is that we are playing to a different audience every night. That’s why we go on tour!So if we’re in Edinburgh (like we are tonight), we look forward to seeing local faces. This is what makes it new for us every night. We appreciate those of you who follow us and buy tickets for multiple nights, so please don’t be offended if we request you to move out of the front row.All we are asking is that you give the local fans a chance. This is what keeps it new for us…especially after being on tour for so many months.See you later !XCH0

Nothing wrong with wanting to mix up the crowd up front. But just go to the random number system. Shouldn’t be put on the fans to work it out.1996: Randall's Island 2 1998: East Rutherford | MSG 1 & 2 2000: Cincinnati | Columbus | Jones Beach 1, 2, & 3 | Boston 1 | Camden 1 & 2 2003: Philadelphia | Uniondale | MSG 1 & 2 | Holmdel 2005: Atlantic City 1 2006: Camden 1 | East Rutherford 1 & 2 2008: Camden 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 (#25) | Newark (EV) 2009: Philadelphia 1, 2 & 4 2010: Newark | MSG 1 & 2 2011: Toronto 1 2013: Wrigley Field | Brooklyn 2 | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2015: Central Park 2016: Philadelphia 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 | Fenway Park 2 | MSG (TOTD) 2017: Brooklyn (RnR HOF) 2020: MSG | Asbury Park 2021: Asbury Park 2022: MSG | Camden | Nashville 2024: MSG 1 & 2 (#50) | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2025: Raleigh0

"Sir, we noticed that you've been up front on another show this tour. We'd like you to move back and let this local fan take your spot."
"Uh, that wasn't me. It was someone who looked like me. I have a twin."
"No, it was definitely you."
"No it wasn't."
Seems like kind of a half baked plan. If you want to do that, have assigned seats and sell the first row at the box office only.0 -

Cities with multiple shows could have ga one night and seats the other night in order to mix it up. Rail riders are happy and people with low fan club numbers are happy.I'll ride the wave where it takes me......0

I remember being at the Albany show in 2006...a fantastic show in my humble opinion. Ed at some point was jokingly talking to the rail people, something about "the same fucking people every night" lol. I did hear that later on that tour they did a switch up with the from row people? Anyone can confirm?

If locals and security all got along
They'd probably gun me down by the end of this song
Seem like the whole show go against me
Every time I'm down the front, I hear
Yawk! Yawk! Yawk!
Because I'm tall...Nature drunk and High0 -

And a nice, low hassle venue, not too big. My favorite of 2006. I think they did do some switching up when the entire floor was seated. I do not remember when though.0
