I invite you to read a little more closely. The opinion writer didn't say that anti-price gouging policy was communism. She said she thought it was bad policy. Perhaps that is a touch too much nuance for you, but I can handle policy disagreements. There is actually a difference between anti-gouging policy and the gov't owning the means of production.
