First time going to Fenway - any advice?

    Good call, and there's a tasting room just steps from Fenway. (which will be a $hitshow before & after, of course... but it's great beer). They also have a nice facility over by Fort Point, which is just south of downtown (steps from South Station).
    I'm literally going to PJ at Fenway for an excuse to bring coolers full of beer from Massachusetts back to NJ LOL.

    Take the ride up to Tree House on the day off (if you're doing both shows). A little out of the way but the beer is worth it.

    Charlton is over an hour away from Fenway. It's been awhile but I have spent some time there. Do not mess around on the Mass Pike. Those state troopers are bad ass.

At their hotel after the show (a guy I went to school with was from Seattle and knew where they were staying somehow; he was with me), I met Ed, Jeff and Dave in the lobby. They were all very friendly. Ed chatted with a few of us for several minutes. So did Jeff. I asked Jeff what the new songs they played that night were called, and I learned from him that the titles were "Corduroy" and "Immortality," which was pretty cool.

    I believe I was staying west on the green line and had no issues or delays using Kenmore either night, to or from.

    If you're staying in Boston and want to visit Tree House they just opened a spot in Tewksbury which is about half the drive of Charlton

    Tree House is also down the Cape, for those that will be in the area.

    In 2018 we ate at Union Oyster. It was crowded, but the food was amazing. We then took a walk and passed Paul Revere’s house and stopped at Mike’s Pastry - a well known Italian bakery - for a cannoli.

    My college buddies and I tried to go to these shows, even went to the Garden to see if we could get cheap tix. If I remember correctly Eddie either kicked through the stage or came up the stage wearing basketball sneakers, we’re it was joked they were Larry Birds.

    Yes, during "Blood" he rammed a hole in the stage with the mic stand and then climbed down through it, out of sight. This was the April 11 show. (They also played there the night before.)

    I didn't know that happened at a Boston show. ( or that Eddie had never worn a pair of white shoes before. LOL) Love hearing all the stories and keep them coming. 

    I'll be down in the area for the better part of 4 days so i will definitely be on the hunt for the best chowder and lobster rolls. Also, when heading home i'm hoping to hit the ocean side and drive up the coast, If anyone has any hidden gems to check out?

    My high school GF was Italian, and her Nonna made the best food, including the best cannoli I have ever had. When the GF broke up with me, I missed Nonna's food more than the GF.
