Just got back home right now. Well Katowice was so fucking great, I was hoping for some Yellow ledbetter, but it doesn't matter, cause most of my favorites were being played in Munich. I mean Katowice was such a great experience for me. For the wery first time I was in the first row. And for the very first time Mike pointed with finger on me and for the very first time i caught his pic. It was so awsome. I'm so glad that I finally heard Nothingman. I also met so many great people, I would also like to thank them. And yeah, of course. To Pearl Jam. Again. I can't remember if I've ever cried on a concert before. What a perfect day was this wednesday for me.
Today is the new day, well this is the end of year's tour for me. Hoping for some more in the future. asap....
    I just want to scream...
    ...hello!!!
My god its been six years...
    never dreamed...
    ...you'd return.

Or maybe it was something to do with it being open air in a residential area... or the police trucks with water cannons...? :o

Yeah... just back back...was one row behind the barrier for the whole day

    I ache... :(

I think Coma played for longer than they were supposed to too so combination of things lead to the shorter set, shame but still some great choices in there...

Yep. Open air stadums usually have VERY STRICT curfews where there is no option to even go over ... happened in Toronto 2003 (Molson Ampitheatre) and I am almos positive that there were curfew issues at the famous Mansield, MA shows in 2003 as well...

curfew, curfew.... U2 played this stadium exactly two years ago, gig kicked off when the sun was down already and they finished up around midnight... which obviously wasnt the case with PJ, finishing at 11pm.... hmmm strange really. guess boys were really tired from the munich show, which really kicked ass. but thats just a speculation. god knows. they know!! :)

Maybe U2 screwed it up for future curfews?

none of it really, the residential area wasnt THAT close to the stadium, and i strongly hesitate that they would use the cannos in case pj played an hour longer. thats complete bullshit.

Maybe U2 played on a friday or saturday?

Sometimes it's not the question to stop or to continue and pay, sometimes ignoring the curfew just means 'electricity off'. Happened for example to Faith No More at a festival here in Germany in 97...

    i just got home...
it was fantastic show!!! Hearing RVM as opener just blew me away... then Animal and Hail Hail . ... what more I can say. Fans went nuts... PJ was on fire.. I had to admit that Eddie was on during the whole set.
The highlights of the concert were Nothingman, Jeremy, Even Flow, Black and Indifference. Seemed like everybody was singing with Ed who was apparently having fun.

His contact with fans was great, talked in polish, he seems to enjoy everzy time they are in Poland. He called us as his friends, which was really nice, he also mentioned that they will be back. Let us hope it will turn out to be true.

But now.... fucking curfew!!!! Why did they have to finish at 23 00!!!!! The set lasted only 90 minutes!!! It must have been one of the shortest set for a long time.. We waited for them to play in Poland for so long...40.000 came to see a regular set, not only 21 songs!!! It was so unfair

Although the concert was briliant, I am really dissapointed by the lenght of the set. After reading the songs that were skipped... I wanted to kill somebody!!!

Hope that the declaration that would come back to Poland turns out to be true. I cannot wait to see them again. We deserve for more!!!!

It was my third PJ show and again it was one of the most important things ever happened in my life.

i was there, had to take a day off, so definately working day then. Hmmm, guess wont be too hard to find out if this curfew was the real reason. I could understand that things go strict in Germany, but Poland...?

The opening was rediculously amazing.. RVM-Animal-Hail Hail, wow.. Crowd did indeed go crazy haha!

Although the setlist was short the choice of songs (and order) was nothing short of amazing I think.. Although it was my first (but surely not last) PJ concert I'm pretty sure this was a very good gig.

F*** LP and Coma for playing too long, the organisers for not doing their job, the police for the curfew. I would've loved to hear RITFW, Sad and Alone especially :( with the original setlist this show could have been (even more) over the top (than it already was...). Oh well, next concert I guess. I just couldn't believe it when the stadium lights went on after Indifference.. I was half expecting (read: hoping) to hear the opening riff from Alive or Yellow Ledbetter while walking out of the stadium... If only.

Nevertheless, amazing job PJ with the restrictions that were imposed upon them. What an awesome first PJ concert to have gone to, love 'em.

sorry if i sounded harsh that wasnt my intent. i apologise

if i should be honest i wouldnt blame the curfew only, altough the fact certainly played a part in shortness of the set. the thing is that we all know that when pj wants to play longer set they do (LATG for example), and i think they could do it this time as well. the reason? if you knew poles like i do (im from slovakia and study polish for 4 years at university) you would know that they are kind of laid back "relax" nation just as we are. so if a band is playing an hour past curfew they wouldnt do a big deal out of it. maybe they would give them a fine (not very high - certainly not higher then in MSG) and forget about it. the reason i think it would be no problem to pay it, is the fact that there was more than 40 000 people in attendance, so they definitly wouldnt bankrupt. during the concert eddie mentioned that he didnt sleep after munich gig and was tired and couldnt sing well (i didnt notice it, he seemed in a great shape last night, just as the rest of the band). i dont want to blame him or anything, hes only human after all, but i think this also played a huge role in why the concert was so short. no one during the show mentioned curfew and i think that if that would be the sole reason they would do it. whe know that ed speaks his mind when he wants to and says what he wants and feels no matter the concequences. so at least he could say "sorry for the short set, but theres nothing we can do about it" but he didnt and that leads me to think what i just said.

    just my 2 cents

    Apology accepted :)

Ed did say "We'd play all night if we could, there's a reason we can't..." when he started about talking about coming back

It must have been curfew, why else only do 1 song in 2nd encore??
