I look forward to all the posts of support the band receives when Ed takes the stage and rambles about women’s rights, gun safety legislation, health care outcomes and the environment for two and a half hours and they play a three song set of not for you, WMA and Imagine. At all four shows.

And he should do it in drag. Not joking.

Well, I certainly find Tejas’ politics and most of their elected representatives abhorrent, whether the band plays there or not. I certainly will not be travelling to and spending money in Tejas to support such an authoritarian government. And given the band’s history of their stands on social issues and the current state of affairs there, it is a head scratcher for sure. But hey, it’s a free country, currently. Enjoy the shows.

Wasn’t there a poster from Tejas who was going to shoot or burn all their PJ vinyl due to some egregious decision the band made? Can’t recall the specifics. Wonder if they ever did?

While images of POOTWH kissing Ruddy Ghouliani in drag flash across the screens. Hell they could all do it, toss out rainbow coloured beer coozies with bud light and make the show rocky horror picture show rock opera like and encourage audience participation.

Four of nine shows are in Texas?  My first reaction to this is, "Really?  WTF?"
I would at least like to see an explanation for this.  Unless they are planning on using proceeds from those shows as benefits to fight the ultra right-wings laws going down in TX, I can't understand why they would do four ninths of a short tour in that state.

I still think this'll be a heavily politicized tour, where they'll use these shows to protest. We'll see.

In 2016, pre Trizzy, I heard a lotta audience grumbling in Hampton VA and Columbia SC when they cancelled the Raliegh NC show over a LOT less.  I wasn't holding tickets to Raliegh.

Turns out, the home of Mike Fucking Pence, Indiana, has some explaining to do as well.   https://www.aclu-in.org/en/abortion-access-indiana

I expect mad rambling Ed diatribes about the issue at these 5 shows.

I would love to live long enough to see the day there is no need for music and political action to me mixed.  I'm thinking my best chance for that is if I can stay healthy enough to live another 75 to 100 years.

That sounds awful to me. We’re bombarded with this 24/7. And I seriously doubt it’ll mean anything. How many people will they “convert”? Honestly.

There are some internal moral compass points that last a lifetime despite “growing up.” Try them sometime.

And friends, somewhere in Washington enshrined in some little folder, is a
Study in black and white of my fingerprints. And the only reason I'm
Singing you this song now is cause you may know somebody in a similar
Situation, or you may be in a similar situation, and if your in a
Situation like that there's only one thing you can do and that's walk into
The shrink wherever you are, just walk in say "Shrink, You can get
Anything you want, at Alice's restaurant.". And walk out. You know, if
One person, just one person does it they may think he's really sick and
They won't take him. And if two people, two people do it, in harmony,
They may think they're both faggots and they won't take either of them.
And three people do it, three, can you imagine, three people walking in
Singin a bar of Alice's Restaurant and walking out. They may think it's an
Organization. And can you, can you imagine fifty people a day, I said
Fifty people a day walking in singin a bar of Alice's Restaurant and
Walking out. And friends they may thinks it's a movement.

Are any of you the same people you were in 2016?  It's called growing up. Try it sometime.
There are some internal moral compass points that last a lifetime despite “growing up.” Try them sometime.
I just used the stock answer that comes up often whenever people complain about PJ changing.

Is anyone really surprised that  a band that threw out their principles re: modestly priced tickets and good seats to long time fan club members among other things would be willing to set aside other principles?

I'm at the point that the only reason I am paying for membership is to interact on the forum with some of you.

Honestly I miss principled Pearl Jam. They made better music.

By boomers do you mean fans of Boom or the people that equate every crap decision PJ has made as they have "matured" as part of growing up?

The former know a good keyboard player when they hear one.  The latter... well, no mystery there.  We all know old people suck!
