That is not how it worked last time at all lol. What is going on here with all of this misinformation.machinehum said:
Yup, that too. People being able to actually claim tickets for multiple shows also definitely has a big effect.JF116983 said:
You could put in as many shoes as you want but your first selection had best chance and then you couldn’t be picked for more shoes - that’s how it worked last time, this show they are allowing multiple showsknow1 said:
Sorry - but you are incorrect on the first part. All members have always been able to put in for as many shows as they wanted. The only thing that impacts are the odds of getting chosen in the lottery. It does not explain seats getting worse.machinehum said:
Of course it does, that’s just math. If 10 times as many club members are being picked, it’s exponentially more likely that people with even lower numbers than you are getting seats who wouldn’t have before. Additionally, they’re offsetting the “cost” of this to the band by selling more “Premium” seats, many or most of which will also be better ones.know1 said:
That statement does not address at all the question about reserved seats getting progressively worse over time for people who have maintained a long standing member number.machinehum said:know1 said:
I'm pretty sure that's never been stated.machinehum said:Seats getting worse on average has been officially and explicitly explained. They’ve made the decision that they’d rather 10C = more people can get a price-capped seat which includes mostly “worse” seats, rather than very few people get a price-capped seat but it’s much more likely to be a good one. It’s understandable if people don’t love that choice but it’s not a mystery.https://blog.ticketmaster.com/pearl-jam-tour-2023/
“Pearl Jam continues to try to protect fans’ access to fairly priced tickets by providing the majority of tickets to its Ten Club members, making tickets non-transferable where permitted, and by selling approximately 10% of tickets through PJ Premium at the market rate to offset increased costs.”
The % of seats allocated to 10C has been stated to be increasing, this may be the first time it’s been an actual majority (not sure on that). And they say explicitly that one reason is to allow more people to have access to price-capped tickets.
But yes - the "Premium" seats issue likely does have an effect. But they don't say where those are so again it's not been specifically stated.
The smaller number of shows likely has an effect as well.
At the same time, how many people with a better number than me have let them drop at least once in the last 20 years? So that should offset things.
Also People being selected for multiple shows in no way shape or form has any effect on someone losing out on their first pick. If they won multiple shows that means they had multiple priorities which means those priorities are past the first pick which means, now wait for it, the first priorities should of been considered before all those priorities after it!
It is just math

There is an easy way to fix this without unseating people, but it would cost TM or PJ money. They just free up more tickets to 10C and assign those or give people that got screwed a choice between their current tickets and the new ones.0

Guess what wouldn’t be there if the priority didn’t matter? The actual ability to choose priority.BloodMeridian80 said:
Every previous lotteries used the priority system that selected 1st priority choices first for single show before going to 2nd priorities.Vedderman23 said:

I emailed ten club support asking how folks are getting tickets with Chicago as a 3-5 the choice (same selections) while many folks with it listed as 1-2 priority got shut out. That absolutely needs to be explained, somewhere. If they changed this for this tour, it should have been explained up front. If priority means squat going forward, that needs to be explained by the Tenclub.or you can come to terms and realize

Do you think TC will address those who say, had Chicago #2 as Priority 1 and lost while someone had it #3 and won? Or if they lost because they had just GA/Reserved but not Reserved and that was the reason for this happening?
Time will tell. A lot of people must have emailed the Ten Club about this to make this re-seating happen in the first place.
hence why we’re here with a big mop and broom getting ready to hopefully clean up this massive mess.0 -

There's still the "normal" sale on Friday and then the good old secondary market. You're fine.jarfitz1 said:Well my request went "unfulfilled". I'm pissed. I need to emotionally detach myself from the notion that I'll be seeing my favorite band in the Fall. And I would've been willing to pay a lot more than $300.
Secondary market F2F, for non-Chicago shows will be where it’s at.0 -
People think they halted things and sent out that email to not give more tickets away. These are huge arenas. Plenty of seats to go around. There will be more confirmations today0

What is being fixed? Just reassignment of seat allocations to the “winners”? Or are they fixing the problem of members not even getting a chance at seats cause they picked only ga/Res?Vedderman23 said:Thank you 10C for acknowledging and working to fix the seating issues for those 3 venues.

I know five just personally who only elected reserved & got seats.Doug87 said:

Process Complete + all selections unfulfilled yet I'm fairly certain that Chicago Side/Rear and Indy lawn seats have not been sent out yet. At least I have yet to see anyone indicating they've been allocated those tickets. If Chicago Side/Rear and Indy lawn were included as part of your ticket request I'm thinking maybe you've still got a shot at some positive news. Does anyone have a ticket request with a status other than "Process Complete"?0
