Not saying it’s a lock but I’ve thought for a while they were possible for this. For one thing, Sonic Temple is a bit of a rebrand. It only got one year to try it out but that year had Foo Fighters, ROTR has had RHCP..it’s not that big of a stretch. Two, Danny Wimmer tends to book his headliners as package deals to play multiple festivals and they just had them at Bourbon and Beyond last year. I think this clue is beyond a stretch, it’s not even the right kinda Yield sign, but I don’t think them playing the festival is impossible either.Weston1283 said:

With that being said.... I don't think PJ fits that festival. Previous headliners have been much heavier bands than PJ (music style not popularity)
I can't imagine the crowd going from System of a Down, Korn, and Bring me the Horizon into a seated acoustic set featuring Wishlist, Elderly Woman and SometimesAlso, DWP now controls Inkcarceration which is gonna be more of their metal fest. Sonic Temple def gonna have some metal but I think it’s changing a bit and will certainly have at least one more “alternative” style day.0

Thanks for the Info. Wonder how a radius clause would affect Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Detroit and Indy if they went the Sonic Temple routeMercury said:

Well, it’s certainly not a perfect comparison since the Nashville show had been onsale since 2020 and was sold out but it didn’t impact their decision to book them for Bourbon and Beyond in Louisville. Soundgarden played Rock on the Range in 2013 and also played Pittsburgh. My guess is PJ can do whatever they want and the festival would be thrilled to have them as a headliner. I’d be more concerned about the band feeling like that’s a check mark on this region than being restricted from playing nearby honestly.Weston1283 said:

Also, full disclosure I live in Columbus about a mile from the stadium and this would be a devils bargain even for me. I’d prefer to see them at Nationwide Arena again but considering the drought of Ohio shows and that Columbus isn’t even guaranteed to get the next Ohio show (I feel like the next arena date in Ohio will be Cleveland, that’s based on nothing but gut), I’ll take what I can get at this point. And be thrilled to get it.0

Sonic Temple posted a pic on their facebook page of downtown columbus with festival posters on the side of a building. Now that building is on PEARL street...hmmmm0

So when does the lineup announcement come?0
-

If Pj is playing shows in May I’d guess NOLA Jazzfest is in play, and this lines up with the Philly ballpark rumour early June.PJNB said:So when does the lineup announcement come?
I’d guess we get news January 16 or January 23 if this is in fact happening. Those dates align with when those festivals announce lineups, and 10c can send a membership reminder in the January 10 newsletter.0

Lol no inside info on here but it sure does make a lot of sense with Pearl being the street name, a yield sign, and same promoters as B&B. On top of that we know they are supposed to be having a spring tour so it does line up pretty well!Mercury said:
Should be early next month. It’s been pushed back a couple times cause they didn’t have everyone locked in. I’ll stop now, I’m gonna talk myself into this and I honestly feel like it’s 50/50 hahaPJNB said:So when does the lineup announcement come?0

Well if there is any truth to them playing in the spring, then this makes perfect sense. When is the announcement?0
