Well if there is any truth to them playing in the spring, then this makes perfect sense. When is the announcement?

I'd expect it some time after the 10th of the month and before the last day of that same month.

Last year we found out mid March but at least we were lucky to get both legs.

If they are in fact doing the rumoured fest the last weekend of May that puts most if not all of the shows in May and maybe some early June or late April.

They don’t do many tours longer than 30 days anymore.

  • Once again, playoffs for the nhl and nba are going to matter if they’re playing in May and June.

    Sooo... Hypothetically...

Let's say Sonic Temple is on.
    1) How would 10C do tickets? It seems like there wouldn't be anything special. No early entry, no presale, amirite? Would a 10C area at the festival be possible or would we be thrown into the lions' den trying to get tickets?

    2) I know we usually don't do Wishlist Pre-Parties before festivals, but... I could probably try to organize something unofficial/official the day before the show, depending on the tour schedule. Sadly, there's jack around the festival to throw a party, but I'm on good terms with a place that I'm sure would be happy to host a gathering...and they could probably donate money to the cause.

Can't believe they haven't played Asia in almost 20 years.

I can see them playing Jazzfest. 2016's show was under rated in terms of setlists. Would also lineup with the ACL rumour. Not sure where they would play around the south in the spring though.. Dallas? Houston? Florida? Non-stadium Chicago?!

So far the biggest rumour for Jazzfest seems to be Dead & Co, as they were supposed to play 2020, but we know how that went and with this being their last major tour it seems like a given.

PJ should play 3 nights in Cancun as a destination of sorts.. That would be awesome.

Lots of early festivals announcing fairly soon, I think many of them try to book Pearl Jam.  And I think a festival is more likely than a ballpark. Show up make 2M for two hours work. It is a no brainer.  Pure speculation though.

I agree and think they hit the festivals hard

Something like this makes too much sense based off of the lone Philly ballpark rumor and the festivals they are most likely to play.....

    May 4th - Jazzfest (Festival)
    May 6th - Houston
    May 8 - Dallas
    May 10 - Kansas City
    May 12 - Minneapolis
May 14 - Madison or Milwaukee
    May 16 - Detroit
    May 18 - Indianapolis
    May 20 - Cleveland
    May 22 - Buffalo
    May 24 - Pittsburgh
May 25 - Sonic Temple Columbus (Festival)
May 28 - Boston Calling (Festival)
May 30 and June 1 - Citizens Bank Park Philly
June 4th - Raleigh, NC make up show
June 6th - Baltimore, MD make up show
June 9-11 - Governors Ball Citi Field NY (Festival)
June 16-18 - Bonnaroo (lineup rumored to be announced on January 10th)

^^^^^^ This certainly sounds like something 10 Club could have initiated

PJ would play Friday night June 16 - which gives EV time to fly on over to Telluride on the 18th to play the rumored Bluegrass fest solo - which might only require mild setup in terms of stage and touring equipment

The fall 2020 tour was supposed to include Columbus or Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Chicago (not Wrigley) and, IIRC, the Wisconsin/Minnesota area.

A Philadelphia show or two in late 2020 also would have made sense.

Had that happened, I also could have easily seen Indianapolis be a thing.
