Fenway concerts thus far are meh. I've legit never heard of Morgan Wallen before and the dude is playing three straight nights.

Heard from a friend of a friend in Sox organization they had been negotiating for another Fenway experience, but not done deal yet. I’m not giving up on at least a few big shows this year. They could conceivably go back to Fenway around Labor Day again as Sox are out of town for a long road trip during that time. Will obviously share any more info when it becomes available to me. Dream is not dead yet though!
Need the guy who found the fenway concert permits list last time around….where you at? Lol
    thanks @Jadler
This is the public notice of Fenway permit requests from 2022. I don't see anything related for 2023..but I assume it would be within the next month at the latest to get anything booked in 2023

Thanks for posting. This is great. Based on last year they will be posting something in short order. Looks like they’d have to formally apply within the next few weeks.

I saw him at Watershed and he was boring as hell. Each song sounded the same as the one before it. Even my kids, who are big country music fans, were disappointed in his show. I honestly don't get why he is so popular.

If you get a chance to see Zac Brown, Brothers Osborne, Midland, or Maren Morris don't hesitate to go. They are all great. Zac Brown dropped a Metallica cover at Watershed that absolutely blew my mind. I can also highly recommend Zach Bryan. His live album, "All My Homies Hate Ticketmaster," is a sentiment that I reckon has some resonance around here.

If they are looking at ballparks and don't want to deal with any Wrigley Field hassles, Great American ballpark in Cincinnati would be a nice choice.

Also TMW he was arrested for disorderly conduct after being ejected from Kid Rock's steakhouse in Nashville in May 2020. He then didn't adhere to NBC's COVID protocols and SNL gave him the boot.

How low/stupid do you have to go/be to get ejected from Kid Rock's place?

It's kind of wild to me that people are pissed at Metallica for tying up their money now for shows in 2024. I can't help but think what an absolute privilege it would be to know about your band's shows more than 3 months in advance

also ticket prices grow faster than the rate of inflation, so if the show went on sale in a year or two it'd probably cost even more.

It doesn't bug me, just like it didn't bug me when shows got postponed due to covid.   I buy tickets because I want to see a show.   I'm more concerned about the show happening, than I am that someone sits on the money for a year or two.

It doesn't look good for the spring, but if ballparks are happening those announcements will be coming soon.

Last year’s tour and the May 2006 and May 2010 tours all weren’t announced until a couple weeks into March.  If they’re in touring in May ending at Philly baseball stadium early June, we might be waiting about two months still for an announcement.  If a tour is actually happening it wouldn’t be surprising to get the Philly ballpark shows announced first and the other shows after.

If Josh Klinghoffer is touring with Pearl Jam again, and touring the Iggy Pop dates, it’s easy to see where the Pearl Jam dates would fit based on the Iggy Pop tour.  Probably something like May 10-June 3.

With the lack of rumours it’s also possible that’s when Pearl Jam had planned to tour but then scrapped it.

Most likely Iggy Pop will tour with the "Losers" band only briefly, like the dates in April. When he hits the summer dates, it's most likely back to his regular backing band. He did the same during the last album in 2016 when his backing band included Josh Homme and others. They had a brief tour in the spring, then the rest of the year it was his normal backing band, including festivals in the summer.

(and gives me more hope for August PJ dates that run concurrent). Thank you, Jimmy V!

Maybe, but also the Earthlings played their October shows last year without Glen, so I am not sure too much can be taken from this.

I agree with this... if we don't hear by the second week of February, we can forget the spring.

We can also forget stadium shows in the summer months with that same deadline.  Stadiums are announced much farther in advance then arenas/sheds.

As they get older I can't imagine just letting a year go by with no shows, especially following the pandemic shutdown.  The NW is starving for shows.  That being said, this thread is getting desperate
