Boooooo nypost boooooooo. Not allowed here. Go read a real news outlet like Wapo or CNN!
I used the NYPost in your honor since people crap all over it when you post articles from them.  I'm sure I have been guilty in the past.  Also I have to read the Post because it is one of the only outlets that doesn't hide everything behind a paywall.  There are several outlets that have articles on this but I figured why not use AMTs favorite and most trusted source?
Why would you pick such a slanted and tabloid style outlet though? You're better off reading Reuters and AP if you don't want a paywall and just want unbiased straight news:

    Agreed.

Citing the NY Post is no better than citing CNN or MSNBC. Shit media is shit media.
Except MSNBC aired the interview with Lester Holt and President Biden. But I know, same-same.

Do I think President Biden snapped? No. Testy, sure. Must be tough being an “honest“ (at least not in office for your personal gain and conducting yourself at every moment as if laws and norms don’t apply to you) politician trying to do the right thing for the most American people possible and all you get is “no” from the other party’s political leadership and more than half of their voters living in an alternative reality, unable to understand the complexity of the issues, as well as the complexity of the solutions. Hell, the majority of these folks don’t believe he was legitimately elected. It’s one thing to have policy differences, debate them and compromise in order to move forward and quite another to refuse to offer alternatives, unite to solve some problems or offer solutions. Just saying “no” and doing nothing is not an option. But here we are. How many people here pull that shit at work? Refuse a directive or a solution, not carry it out or do it and don’t offer an alternative way to do things?

Can anyone tell me what repubs stand for and what their policy positions are for our most pressing issues? Infrastructure? Health care? Drug addiction? Covid and the future? Foreign policy regarding China & Russia? Crime? Inflation? Border security and immigration? Pick one, any one and explain it to me. I’m still waiting for the repub healthcare plan. And I check the RNC’s website and they still have 2020’s reaffirmation of POOTWH’s 2016 platform up. Think about that for a moment. Nothing has changed in 6 years? MAGA. Or is it KAG? All anger, all the time.

”Snapping” is what POOTWH did every day he stood before the press, whether in the briefing room or in the Rose Garden.

But Yea, same-same, NYP = aired interview or CNN showing same. This country is so fucked.

The NY Post is being referenced here for its "inflammatory style", which tells you just how unserious this conversation is. Maybe CNN or MSNBC are better, I don't know, I don't watch cable news.

Agree with your last point though, this country is fucked indeed.

I realize that but one could actually watch the interview and draw their own conclusions. Instead, the inflammatory headline gets the attention and then the NYP is comparable to CNN and other media. It’s all same-same and some here believe it and perpetuate that kind of non-sense. Part of the problem, the inability to critically think and too lazy to do “their own research.”

Grouping WAPO with CNN and NYP is a bit of a stretch.

imagine if the US government kowtowed to Communist China out of fear by holding and sponsoring a lecture at the Pentagon about giving in and how the U.S. and other Western countries should in effect bow to China and adopt socialism in response to the growing challenge from the expansionist Communists in Beijing.

controversial? No way in hell, you say? Not in a midterm year where he’s losing ground with independents and suburbanites already?! Well, it’s happening, and Xiden’s administration is content on burning their constituents’ faith to the ground before the midterms.

The Defense Department’s National Defense University (NDU) — the premier educational institution in the country for military and civilian leaders on all things defense, has a lecture planned for Feb 22.

Mumbling and confused Joe Biden might not know where the hell he is, half the time — let alone who’s there with him — but this treasonous BS is for real.

so much for officials who swore an oath to protecting America.

oh, and I may not have mentioned but this is being paid for by the American tax payer.  (And maybe China too)

Imagine that the entire premise of your outrage was completely invented out of thin air,  based mostly on right wing paranoia. Oh wait,  we don't have to imagine.  That's what this is.   Now we know of course that you didn't think that up because you haven't posted an original thought here to date.  You still never came back to defend the last silliness you posted.

And see,  what you really don't understand is that with higher education and think tanks,  you purposely bring in opposing and controversial view points.  It's how you bullet proof and adjust your global responses and therefore readiness. It's why so many of us aren't threatened by that evil CRT and other post graduate concepts. Feel free to stay in your bubble though.  It's safe and snowflakey there.

So treason is having a leader in the field of economics give a lecture about adapting the current western economic model to help with greater global stability and help combat the rise of communist China?

Even if it did/does contain clean drug needles/pipes, I don't see the issue. You have to start somewhere. Most people are ok ignoring these castaways of our society unless they make their way in to their neighborhood, which they usually don't so when they see that the government is funding clean kits (for drugs, sex or whatever the at risk activity) they get on their soap box to yell about something they know nothing about and definitely care nothing about. It's not meant to stop the drug problem, it's meant to help prevent/mitigate the risk of disease spread among this population. And maybe, just maybe, getting them in contact with the individuals providing these kits may eventually lead to them getting the help they need and changing their current path to death by drugs, alcohol or disease. We have to do something.
Of course people are going to get upset when they make their way into their neighborhoods. Who wouldn’t be bothered more when needles are left on their sidewalks, larger groups are congregating in their local parks, people are peeing where I take my kids to ride a bike?

Biden has long-term inflation plan, but voter patience short
    By JOSH BOAK

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden came into office with a plan to fix inflation — just not the particular inflationary problem that the country now faces.

His belief is that a cluster of companies control too many industries, which reduces competition for both customers and workers. That leads to higher prices and lower wages in what the White House says is an average cost of $5,000 annually for U.S. families. Biden is now trying to remedy the situation with 72 distinct initiatives — everything from new rules for cell phone repairs to regulations on meatpacking to more merger reviews.

“The dynamics of the modern American economy — the increased consolidation and lack of competition — has distorted market incentives in important ways,” said Brian Deese, director of the White House National Economic Council. “The president gave us the direction that he wanted us to come back and say what could we do to address this issue of consolidation across industries in a way that would be durable."

But even administration officials acknowledge that the initiatives outlined by the president's seven-month-old competition council aren't designed to quickly stop the 7.5% inflation that’s frustrating Americans and damaging Biden's popularity. Furthermore, business groups dispute the fundamental premise that competition has faded within the U.S. economy and they are prepared to challenge the administration's new initiatives in court.

Gerrymandering is a huge issue in this country but if Republicans refuse to go along with election reform, the Democrats are right to gerrymander the hell out of their states. They really have no choice. But if they can somehow hold onto the house as a result, perhaps it will finally force change? Maybe? Nah, probably not.

New York’s Gerrymander Might Change Which Party Picks Up Seats In The Midterms

Senior elections analyst Nathaniel Rakich breaks down how New York state was able to pass its Democratically gerrymandered congressional map and what it could mean for the 2022 midterm race.

New Yorkers like to think they’re really important; I mean, come on, their state nickname is “the Empire State.” But, I will admit, there is one area where New York has had an outsized national impact recently: redistricting!

Every 10 years, each state draws new congressional maps to reflect the results of the U.S. census. But Democrats in New York have drawn a map that does a really lousy job reflecting the state’s Democratic-Republican split.

To be sure, New York is a solidly blue state: Joe Biden got 61 percent of the vote there in 2020. But its new congressional map would likely hand Democrats between 77 and 85 percent of New York’s congressional seats. That’s like if your friend said he’d eat only five slices of your pizza but then actually ate almost the entire pie.

The new map creates 20 congressional districts that lean toward Democrats and only four that lean toward Republicans. (There are also two toss-up districts.) Because there are currently eight Republicans in New York’s congressional delegation, that means this map alone could subtract four Republicans from the U.S. House in 2022!

That’s a big enough swing that it actually changed which party would pick up seats from redistricting in 2022. Before New York’s map passed, it looked like Republicans would gain around 2 House seats nationally based on redistricting, while Democrats would roughly stand pat. But because of New York, Democrats are now up a few seats nationally!

The ironic thing is that redistricting was supposed to be fairer in New York this year. A few years back, voters passed a ballot measure creating a bipartisan commission to draw New York’s congressional map this cycle. But it didn’t exactly work as intended: Democrats and Republicans on the commission couldn’t come to an agreement on a map, so the Democratic-controlled legislature passed this gerrymander instead.

However, that ballot measure also added some potentially important language to the state constitution. Like Article III, Section 4C, Subsection 4: “Each district shall be as compact in form as practicable.” Well, to draw the maps to their maximum advantage, Democrats drew some pretty un-compact districts — like the 10th, which winds all the way from the Upper West Side of Manhattan to the Bensonhurst neighborhood of Brooklyn.

Or how about Article III, Section 4C, Subsection 5, which says districts can’t be drawn to favor a particular political party. Except that’s exactly what this map does!

As a result, the map may violate the state constitution — or at least that’s what Republicans are arguing in a new lawsuit. But they may not find a receptive audience in the New York judiciary: All seven judges on the state’s highest court were appointed by Democratic governors. So in all likelihood, this lawsuit is like a car on the George Washington Bridge at rush hour — going nowhere.

I thought Biden was an international criminal,  looting Ukraine.  Get your fantasies straight.
