Quebec lifting all restrictions on Feb 28th so no reason to wait for a Fall tour here! Let’s stick to the May plan.

Are we still thinking Europe is a go? I haven’t paid attention at all to how concerts are going on over there
EV seemed confident that they were headed there in the Bateman interview. I keep forgetting that I even have tickets to the Amsterdam shows amidst all of the May tour rumors
Also, I’m starting to think that SA rumor for September isn’t true, as those shows are usually announced way ahead of timePost edited by Weston1283 on2010: Cleveland

I’m hoping so. Here in the U.K. we have some reasonably popular bands playing at the moment, in indoor arenas and theatres. Going to see Wolf Alice in 10 days at a 5000 capacity indoor theatre and Idles are touring at the moment. We also have bands playing at the O2, Wembley and Manchester arenas etc - in fact the Brit awards are on this evening at the London O2 to a capacity audience. U.K. is full steam ahead, as is Denmark etc. A few other places though still have restrictions eg Holland, Germany. Has resulted in some bands (eg Royal Blood) cancelling around a quarter of their March tour (German, Swiss dates etc) but playing in U.K., Belgium, Ireland, Holland (unlocks on 8 March) etc.
My guess is most of the other countries will be unlocked by Easter.Post edited by drfox on0 -
Not saying this in a negative light, but: the longer they hold out, the more people refund. The more tickets refunded, the more tickets can be purchased back on ticketmaster for platinum pricing. Double profits for tickets they know will sell.

Just saw this news! Technically they said March 14. But I give you the win anyway! Lol.Falling Down said:Quebec lifting all restrictions on Feb 28th so no reason to wait for a Fall tour here! I don’t trust either of the relevant Canadian provinces not to revert to restrictions. I also think the federal Government needs to simplify border crossing and not go backwards on that. I don’t trust that either and I’m just one person. I don’t see how a multi million dollar business venture can trust it when they have relative certainty in the states.woolyman said:

I still don't think they're going to do platinum tickets for PJ shows (despite the EV shows having them).

I will be absolutely stunned if they do not have platinum tickets. It's almost standard/guaranteed for any event on Ticketmaster now.DoDaFoo said:I still don't think they're going to do platinum tickets for PJ shows (despite the EV shows having them).2010: Cleveland

Correct. While I always had confidence that I could score a decent ticket for a decent band within 48 hours of showtime, I now give 0 fucks when it comes to the heavyweights. Someone posted today (I think on FB) that Eddie had $50 tickets on the 'HUB. Even though I had no intention of hitting any of his solo shows (travel and expense-wise are the factors - I'd have loved a show in Toronto)............I feel 1000x more confident when a big name hits a small venue nearby.RS65573 said:I refunded all my shows. So thats 2 first 10 row tickets for each. I wasnt going to let TM hold my money on sheer principle, and I also believed (still do) they cant handle the logistics of this and will cancel and reschedule anyway.
Either way, you can always get a ticket a day before the show or 2 if you try. Always.

If you don’t trust the two provinces to revert to restrictions, then waiting till the fall isn’t the answer.RatherStarved said:

If we’re open in May/June I’d rather get the dates then instead of waiting for some other variant to close us up again. For the states I don’t think any restrictions or lockdowns are coming back, so a fall tour there makes more sense.0 -
Also correct. I don't think Pearl Jam is eyeing Canadian cities and using them as the holdout for announcing the tour. Everything is locked in at this point and it's just a matter of timing.uglybabo said:

As a Torontonian, if we get a date, we get one; if we don't, we don't. If we get a date and it gets postponed or cancelled, I'll add it to the other 35 shows I had tickets for and chug a few more beers to ease the pain.
(and yes I have tickets to Hamilton, Ottawa and Quebec -which I know is out of province- my post is more of a general point than a city specific demand.)Post edited by Gibson on1998: Barrie 2000: Toronto 2005: Kitchener, London, Hamilton, Toronto 2006: Toronto 1&2, Paris, Milan, Torino, Pistoia 2009: Calgary, Vancouver 2011: Canada 2013: London, Wrigley, Philly 1&2 2014: St. Louis, ACL 1, Detroit 2016: Lexington, Quebec, Ottawa, Toronto 1&2, Fenway 1&2, Wrigley 1&2 2017: EV - Louisville 2018: London 1&2, Milan, Padova, Rome, Prague, Krakow, Berlin, Wrigley 1&2, Fenway 1&2 2020: Toronto, Ottawa, Hamilton 2021: London 1&2 2022: Hamilton, Toronto 2023: Chicago 1&2, Noblesville 2024: Seattle 1&2, Noblesville, Wrigley 1&20 -
I do not see I do not see platinum tickets for PJ and I definitely do not see them from refunded tickets. Hope I am right with that.0
-
Platinum tickets were already pretty standard when PJ announced these shows back in 2020 (and even back in 2018 when they did the Home and Away shows). The band didn't have them then and I don't believe they will now. Platinum tickets being offered are left up to the bands. I think Eddie was ok with them for his shows, but don't think PJ as a whole will be.JimmyV said:

I don't understand everything about platinum, but for PJ shows the best seats in the house go to Ten Club. It would be interesting to have tickets sold at a higher amount then Ten Club for seats that are worse than Ten Club. I also don't see PJ charging $400 a ticket for Ten Club.0

The Ten Club gets most of the good seats, but I’ve seen tickets in the general on sale better than some ten club seats.bootlegger10 said:I don't understand everything about platinum, but for PJ shows the best seats in the house go to Ten Club. That was for charity, but there are always some seats for sale that are better than some fan club seats.0 -
remember there was some crazy good/expensive tickets that Sawyer got back in the day that he was utterly flamed for? it was a festival...PJ20 maybe?Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer0
