    My guess how ticketing goes.

New lottery happens, all lottery winners from 2020 and 2022 are combined and seniority determines seating no matter when you bought.
Not saying I like this, having tix since 2020, but that’s just how I think it will be.
Seems like the easiest way for them to do it.
    0% chance this happens.
So that means you know the way it will play out.  Do tell.
Ok, 1% it happens. And if it does, the band can go fuck themselves lol.

I've been patiently holding onto GA Pit tickets for  Denver and good seats for San Diego. I'm one of the lucky "higher number" fan club members that signed up before the 2020 ticket lotto and somehow was fortunate enough to snag GA for Denver and some really really really awesome seats for the San Diego show.

I've received countless emails from 10c, Ticketmaster, etc stating my tickets would be valid for the rescheduled shows.

If they fuck this up and decide to do a new lottery for everyone who's been holding onto their tickets  for the last two years that will be the last straw for me.
This is one thing I'm confident in saying will absolutely not happen. You can't take tickets that people bought to a show, postpone that show for two years, then say "you know what? We're rescheduling that show and starting all over from scratch" (and raising prices too).

If they canceled the tour and gave everyone a refund while not giving an option to hold onto tickets, than sure. But that's not what they did.

If that happens I'm pretty comfortable saying I'll never pay $$ to see them again. Would be a HUGE slap in the face to people that have held on to tickets the past 2 years.

Maybe i'm really behind on this, but were you all aware of the QR code - apple wallet - covid vaccine records?

I am traveling out of the country in a few weeks, and my destination accepts proof of vaccination ONLY as a QR code.  Copy or even original vaccine card is not accepted.

I google searched how to get a QR code for Virginia, and apparently every state has a record of this (the state you were vaccinated in).  All you do is type in your name and date of birth, and you get a QR code with your vaccination dates that can be downloaded onto your phone.

Felt that this was relevant to share, especially if the QR code becomes the standard for proof with travel and concerts

I'm holding on. It's frustrating, but at the same time I could understand the logistical fuckery they've been dealing with for 2 years. C'mon date night!!!
EVERYONE else has figured it out though. It’s not a unique situation to PJ.

I get that he might not be the most detail-oriented guy, but Ed thinking the dates had already been announced almost a month ago remains super weird. Did something change? We'll probably never know.

Someone else mentioned it but maybe he did not at the time know the air date of the podcast. To think that the band is so out of the loop not knowing that their shows are now on sale or not would surprise me a bit.

I wonder if Kelly Curtis' retirement has anything to do with any of this.

No, they always announced US tours with short notice unless a festival forced their hand.

There's damn near a 0% chance there will be any type of lottery or re-ticketing for the rescheduled shows.

Touring costs have gone up, we all know this. All of the refunded tickets will go up on the TM resale platform for bookoo bucks.

Everyone with an assigned seat and ticket in their TM account / Apple wallet is not being assigned a new seat. Way too much logistics for no incremental $. If anything it's an incremental loss as TM loses the opportunity to sell prime 10C seats that were refunded at a markup.

That is dropping in sometime this month though correct? Vaccinated or not you will be able to get into Scotiabank Arena?

    Agreed.

Also if they want to sell these arenas out again they would be bumping up people further in the back to decent seats and letting go a chance of selling something closer to a fan on the public sale.

Going to be very interesting to see how some of these markets sell this go around.

I have not been able to read every comment, but what if they are trying to get the whole year locked in and let us know every 2022 date all at once. That way if say you live in Philly you would know that a show is planned for there in the fall and you may not have to travel in May to see them. I am not saying there is a Philly show it's just an example. Also not a real fan of this approach, they should have told us by now about the May dates, but this could be the case.

It  was dropped as of March 1st.   However some establishments have decided to continue mandating it.

Not sure about Scotiabank arena but you don't need proof of vaccination to enter CT centre in Ottawa.

If the LA shows happen in May, I don't see those being at full capacity since Ed/PJ have hit the LA/Southern Cal area a lot over the last year.

That’s pretty good if true.  I have no inside info. Just connecting dots between the timing of the lineup drop and our expectations to hear tour dates any day now.

I have no inside info either. But Green Day is also playing Firefly, so I think that's accurate. Foo Fighters are rumored to be the other headliner, but again, I have no knowledge. We will know on Tuesday!

Why a teaser for make up dates though?  If new shows will be added to the what was sold in 2020, let the damn announcement for making up 2 year old dates be the teaser to hype interest again.  We already had the notice rescheduled dates will be announced early this year...just do it already!!!!
