Gas prices have decreased by about 11 cents over the last month. Crazy how people are not talking about that anymore.www.myspace.com0

This isn't true for everyone. Gas has not gone down by 11 cents where I live. You may be referring to an average for a specific area but not everyone has seen gas go down. In the last month, our gas prices have gone up to just under $4 a gallon. The Juggler said:Gas prices have decreased by about 11 cents over the last month. National average. So, true for most of the country but not everyone, of course.JB16057 said:

Point is when the national average was increasing, news of that was everywhere. Now that it is decreasing, you see a lot less reported.
Sort of the same with the supply chain stuff. A month or two ago Fox News was telling it's viewers Joe Biden was the cause of them not being able to put presents under their trees. hahah Now that the issue has improved, in part to actions his admin took, you see a lot less reported.
Anyway, Merry Christmas. See? Biden isn't preventing us from saying that. lol.www.myspace.com0 -
Haven’t they gone up by over $1 in a year? I don’t see 11 cents being very newsworthy. The Juggler said:Gas prices have decreased by about 11 cents over the last month. Crazy how people are not talking about that anymore. And after being kicked for celebrating 2 cents and a poor graph I think they’ll wait until a bigger decrease to try and make news again.

Have you tried buying candy canes lately? Or seen the Faux News tree turn into a Roman candle? Christmas so to has been canceled and it’s all Brandon’s fault. Or Obama’s. Or Hillary’s. Or the Squads’s. Or Carter’s. He’s still alive, right? The Juggler said:

sure it has. but can you rightly compare prices during a deflated economy when more folks worked from home and in general drove less over all to a time when folks are back out in force?

The point is when gas was increasing 11 cents every few weeks the news was all over it. Now that the wave has started to crest, you don't hear much of anything. I can guarantee you if it increased 11 cents over the last few weeks Fox and Friends would not shut up about it though.

I didn’t say you can’t. Just don’t see why 11 cents should be breaking news. Gas usually goes down this time of year, so why is anyone complaining that the news isnt reporting on this 11 cents?mickeyrat said:mace1229 said:

It's not breaking news. Nor was it breaking news when it went up 11 cents every few weeks or so recently. The difference is that was covered as breaking news and now that it's going down, it's not covered much at all. If you don't think the Fox and Friends crew would still be ranting and raving about rising gas prices if they were still increasing, you are fooling yourself.mace1229 said:
I didn’t say you can’t. Just don’t see why 11 cents should be breaking news. Gas usually goes down this time of year, so why is anyone complaining that the news isnt reporting on this 11 cents?mickeyrat said:mace1229 said:
Haven’t they gone up by over $1 in a year? I don’t see 11 cents being very newsworthy. The Juggler said:Gas prices have decreased by about 11 cents over the last month. Crazy how people are not talking about that anymore. And after being kicked for celebrating 2 cents and a poor graph I think they’ll wait until a bigger decrease to try and make news again.

sure it has. but can you rightly compare prices during a deflated economy when more folks worked from home and in general drove less over all to a time when folks are back out in force?www.myspace.com0 -
That’s not what I said. One 11 cent decrease isn’t breaking news. Now, 11 cents several weeks in a row that you just compared it to, sure. Don’t know how that’s a lazy argument or that I’m ignoring everything that’s happened in the last year. It’s simple, 11 cents is a small number, not newsworthy, especially when the trend is gas goes down for winter anyway. The Juggler said:
I know. Such a lazy argument. Yeah lets compare it to a time when nobody was on the road. Supply and demand, folks.mickeyrat said:mace1229 said:

The point is when gas was increasing 11 cents every few weeks the news was all over it. Now that the wave has started to crest, you don't hear much of anything. I can guarantee you if it increased 11 cents over the last few weeks Fox and Friends would not shut up about it though.0 -
See my post above. When it was increasing by 11 cents or so Fox wouldn't shut up about it. When it stopped increasing and started to decrease they are predictably quiet.mace1229 said:

You said “when gas was increasing 11 cents every few weeks the news was all over it.” Sure, 11 cents every few weeks for several months is a big deal. One single 11 cent change isn’t. If it keeps dropping by 11 cents every few weeks I’d expect to hear a lot more. But gas pricesThe Juggler said:

fluctuate, it usually goes down in the winter, so one single 11 cent drop at the start of winter is no big deal and shouldnt be compared to the coverage that an 11 cent gain every few weeks got.0 -
Average gas prices dropped from November - December anywhere from 5 a 20 cents nearly every year for the last 30 years. Just don’t see how this is newsworthy, it’s expected. Why would this be breaking news?0

The news is a month ago, Brent Crude was 85/barrel. Now it's $75. The target price should be in the 60's. Once we get there, and we should between the strategic release + OPEC's commitment to increase production over the next several months, gas will be in that $2.50 range. It should not be under $2. That's too low and will cause the fracking in teh US to stop (which affects jobs) and is generally a sign of a shrinking economy.mace1229 said:Average gas prices dropped from November - December anywhere from 5 a 20 cents nearly every year for the last 30 years. I missed this post at first. Of course they’d be talking about gas prices if it was still going up. But wasn’t everyone taking about gas? I recall it being a hot topic for a lot of platforms, not just Fox. It was the highest it’s been in almost 10 years, so that was worth mentioning. Going down the yearly average for November not that big of a deal, no ones going to comment on that. Well, they did and got made fun of even by others not of Fox.The Juggler said:
