Warm up shows seem less common as the years go on?

I remember thinking it was odd there wasn't a warm up show before the '05 Gorge show.   Then they came out swinging.. I guess they didn't need one.

With what's going on with covid, I imagine they're practicing somewhere (somewhat) isolated, and hoping for the best with the festival shows.  Could you imagine if a band member or crew member got covid before the shows they're trying to play?

If you don't count Ontario and Wrigley as warm-up shows, when was their last? 2000?

Yeah...they'd rather rehearse behind closed doors...which is fine.

Springsteen often rehearses at Convention Hall in Asbury Park before the band goes on tour.  Maybe the bad will roll in early to get some practice time…  Just saying

Are we going to get the January announcement like we got in 2020 for the spring tour or are they going to give us more of a heads up I wonder? Hoping to get something before December to help with planning and vacation.
I have until Dec 31/21 to rebook my flight or it's gone. if we don't get those dates prior to that, my flight gets booked to somewhere else.

Can you not pay the 21 or 25 bucks to extend it?  For another year?

I don't know. they never gave us that option prior. at first our Ottawa flights in March 2020 would be good as a credit for year....then we begged and they extended it to Dec 31/21. If we don't get an announcement before then, I guess I'll call and check our options. I'd hate to have to miss that show.

Have they ever played a show with a substitute band member?

I think Stone missed a show once?  I have this memory of some one off show where Stone was replaced by a cardboard cutout.... that's quite the anomaly though.

The arena in East Rutherford where they played in 2006 and has since closed is often used as a rehearsal stage for big acts, I would guess they are rehearsing there.

2002 or 2003 maybe. It was opening for The Who at HoB Chicago.

Any chance Pearl Jam does a special "Town Hall" type of appearance on the Howard Stern radio show like Stern did with Billy Joel?  Have a 2 hour show with Howard interviewing the band for 30 minutes, then a few songs, then more Q & A and then a few more songs.  I'd be down for that.

Looks like the season debut of SNL is first weekend of October or thereabouts so I guess they can hang out for a week or two and play the Season Premiere!  :)
