so were the Raptors - but only got 50% capacity... to 10k at Scotiabank Arena.... shitty!

  • Saw the comment about Canadian shows unlikely if the US goes off this spring... they still crazy locked down or something?
Toronto just went from 15k people to 30k people for the Blue Jays games. Rogers Centre holds 53k and they had the roof open the whole time vs the Yankees.

So that makes sense, and could set up a Canadian leg like 2005 and 2011
But the current show is slated for Scotiabank Arena (max capacity of only 10k now)........... you think they would move it to Skydome (it will always be Skydome - not Rogers Centre :)
  • Anyone else a litttle disappointed there weren’t dates announced today?

There’s already rumors/leaks.  They announced “expected to be rescheduled in early 2022” when they announced Encore and there are all those implied March dates on the TM website.  There’s even a night where every close hotel in Nashville is sold out.

Personally I don't think Ohana had anything to do with the timing of upcoming announcements.

You’re probably right.  But I can still be disappointed! The other night Ed said they have more confidence in safety now that they’ve done this.  I guess I’m hanging onto that.

That is becoming a serious issue; I have AA tix to LA for both 2020 forum shows, contacted airline yesterday and was told travel had to be completed by March 2022; think I might be able to work with them if shows and travel dates can be scheduled before then, but if not, I'm out $500+.  We need an update on these postponed shows from 2020.  Can we get an update???

Don't come closer or I'll have to go

IMO, it won't be announced until Canada lifts its arena capacity limits.

It would also help if the US opened the land border to Canadians.

Announcing this week would have made sense with the hype about PJ returning to the stage over the past couple weekends but spring 2020 tour wasn’t announced until mid-January 2020.  I could see them waiting this long again to ensure these shows can go off as planned.  I think it’s obvious they’re wanting to avoid multiple postponements.
As someone else mentioned, that would be a real pain with a lot of us holding flight credits that need to be booked by Dec 31/21.

I think after Ohana and Sea Hear Now were re-announced in May or June, and rumours about ACL and a fall tour and Quebec City being reschedule for spring 2022, we were really close to a bunch of stuff being announced but then everything was halted with the delta variant surge.
I also buy the rumour PJ was to do the reopening of the arena in Seattle with a multi night stand.  The Coldplay and Foo Fighters dates there align with 31st anniversary of the first PJ show too.  The pandemic robbed us of some cool PJ stuff between this, and what they planned for 2020.

I may be in the minority here but at this point just announce the rescheduled dates, and if you cancel…then you cancel. It’s been two years. We already know LiveNation requires vaxx to get in…what more can a band do to put on shows? The worst that happens is we all get refunded and try again when they schedule new shows. I’d rather make plans now for March, than in January. Most airlines offer full credit back if you cancel your flight. I had to cancel Ohana last minute, got all of my United credits back in one click on their website. Hotels.com gave me free cancellation up to 24 hours before check in. It’s really not that bad. If you have credits to use, then use them on a different trip!

PS: we already have rescheduled Europe dates, those could get canceled too.

Just take a trip somewhere that doesn't revolve around seeing Pearl Jam. You can get a pair of tickets to fly to a lot of cool places round trip for $500. Look at Google Flights for the best prices, and take a weekend trip to a random city.

The bigger carriers waived the change fees, and gave credit for an extended period for the cheapest, non-refundable tickets.
