They say size doesn't matter. But if it does here's a 1.75ml.....

Willet Pot Still.  The whiskey snobs say it's a pretty bottle with overpriced and not as good bourbon.  I have yet to open mine.  how was it?
It is indeed an awesome bottle with average bourbon.
I’d go even further and say top 3 bottle design and below average juice lol

happy I had one bottle but I’ll never have another

Totally agree, but I felt slightly ripped off after spending $50 on it. Will never buy another.

Speaking of great bottle designs, what are the other best ones? Blanton's, Peerless, and Frey Ranch come to mind. What are your favorites?

King Louis is the best hands down, sure it's not a bourbon but it always does it for me.

Blantons and peerless were the other two that originally came to mind.

    Old Fitzgerald too

also love the Barrell bottles.nothing too fancy shape wise but I like the minimalist look. New stellum bottles have the same feel which makes sense since it’s from the same company.

Double Eagle very rare as previously mentioned. Also, not the fanciest, but OF bday is still a great bottle design IMO.

  • Those are some good ones. I forgot about that Old Fitz decanter; wish I owned one. But that Double Eagle Very Rare takes the cake. That bottle is freaking amazing!

I have an Old Fitz 14 year that is really, really tasty.  The juice lives up to the bottle.

I enjoyed it, especially for the price.  It will not blow anyone away but its solid stuff and the best VOB I've had so far.  Found it in Kentucky a few months ago.  I'm pretty sure that's the only state its sold in.  It's changing a significant amount the longer the bottle is open- becoming less cinnamon (which I prefer to happen).

^ They distribute beyond just KY.  My store had it in last week (IL).  Had a pour at a buddy's place and enjoyed it.

Does anyone recall when Kentucky Bourbon barrel beer couldn't be sold outside of Kentucky?

  • Nice! That 100 proof Barton is one of the last great value pours around. Supposedly the same juice as 1792 BiB for a much cheaper price.

Oh cool. I read varying things on that so I wasn’t certain. I know I never saw it in NY though.

It’s one of those bourbons I’m enjoying and think “they could have charged more for this” haha
