The flavors that first hit me were amazing.  It was a wee bit hot.  I enjoyed it but wish it mellowed out more.

One thing I love about tasty, high ABV, viscous, cask strength whiskeys is how long they last me.  I can pour an ounce and it'll last and hour and a half.  Mmm....high strength flavor bombs!  You can get so much out of the tiniest of sips.

Hit the lottery for a bottle of Pappy from a local store. First time I've ever had it and it is damn good!  Cheers!

Congrats!! The only bottle of Pappy I've ever scored was the 15. Perfect combo of age and proof, if you ask me. Enjoy!

15 has become the peoples choice.  I had loved the 23 though.  There was a LOT going on in that bottle.

    Congrats by the way!

Awesome. Had a few hundred different whiskies now but still haven’t tried any Pappys. The place near me that had a reasonable price per pour closed when COVID hurt their business.

  • Bought myself a bottle of Midwinters Dram again.  Place had 5 bottles.  Price went up $30 from last year.  Paid $160.

  • @Bentleyspop I saw your joke about Blantons.  Is it really that bad out there?  Do people really go nuts for that stuff?

I remember buying it for $60 and thinking that was too damn much.  What does it sell for now?

not to snipe his answer but yes....it's bad. I really like Blanton's but I have never seen it on a shelf. Retail is like $60/bottle which I would gladly pay.

Around central IN (and central OH) it is rare to see Buffalo Trace on the shelf.
